Well, at this point no one ever saw him with any stolen guitar, and they saw his teamate with the laptop. He pleaded guilty to avoid a trial. I take his word for it. You dont have to, thats fine.
The point is, the NCAA cant use the excuse that he was not in good standing with his previous team, as there are numerous examples, not just the one I pointed out, of people who were kicked off their previous teams and moving on and not sitting out. Hell we had one here just last year as Eniel Polynice got kicked off and transfered to Seton Hall and he will play this year.
I am not saying Masoli is a saint, and sure, he fucked up, but the NCAA cant just enforce the rules whenver they like. That is bullshit. If he were a 2nd team lineman he would be playing Saturday.
Also, we kicked off a player, Tig Barksdale, a few weeks ago, and he will play AGAINST us Saturday. Granted, he went down a division, but how in the fuck does the NCAA rationalize that type of behavior then?

I think its far worse to sucker punch a guy after the game and still get reinstated the same fucking year, than this bullshit.

Another thing that is funny, is how later down the road you here about violations and shit. For example, Reggie Bush, Derrick Rose, how do those things not get taken care of right away? Certain players get passes or maybe it is just certain colleges and franchises, but I think big-time places some how pay people off to make it unnoticed until later dates. USC thing doesn't really happen to until everybody is gone. The Same with Rose, both coach and him bounced, they make the obvious statements that isn't why they left, but I doubt that as well, cause they all know what is going and all know that it is against the rules.

I feel sorry for those players on USC. They didn't do shit to deserve this, and should be elgible for all bowls except maybe a BCS. Don't punish them completly for someone elses actions

Yeah, I hate retroactively punishing players and teams when the offending players AND coaches have moved on. That seems like bullshit. Maybe punish the University financially, but to limit what kids who are just now getting there can do in terms of bowl games, that seems wrong.
Speaking of the sucker puncher, he has looked nice for the Titans this exhibition season, easily replacing Lendale the Whale.

Well, last nights games were mostly duds, except Utah beating an over rated Pitt team. Every year a few teams from the Big Least get ranked way higher than they should, Pitt was that team this year. Dont get me wrong, Utah is a good team, but nothing compared to what they were a few years ago. But shit, they can run the table now and get a BCS big after beating one ranked team.
Southern Miss laid down and took it like a woman at USC, that was a big let down. I thought USM would put up more of a fight, but it looks like Spurrier might finally have a team that can challenge Florida/Georgia, but it could have just been the terrible ass USM defense, who knows.
In other news, Lane Kiffen: STILL A DOUCHE, going for 2 pt conversions last night on the first 3 TD's, WTF is that?

Trying to win the game = being a douche?
If he's going for 2 when he's up by 50 in the 4th quarter then he's a douche, but if he thinks going for 2 early in the game will give him a better chance to win then that's just football.
Games weren't great last night, but it's nice to get some meaningful football happening. Hawaii/USC was entertaining, and Pitt/Utah had a great finish.

If going for 2 gives you a better chance to win they why doesn't every team in the country do it? There is no way to rationalize going for 2 in the first quarter of a game you should win in a blowout.
PS-can we please go ahead and say Monte Kiffin needs to hang it up? Ole Miss did our part last year by running all up and down the field on the big orange machine, but damn.
Jake Locker may hang 70 on them.

The reason all teams don't go for two is because it is a risky play. Kiffin probably has some plays that he feels very confident about. It's a percentage game. If you think you can successfully get two points more than 50% of the time consistently, then it is a success. Most teams probably don't feel you can get that, compared to the much higher rated PAT.

College football starts tomorrow! BYU vs UW is going to be a great game. Many people are sleeping on this game, but I honestly think that it will be the game of the weekend.

How good is BYU supposed to be this year? Havent heard much talk about their team other than all the conference re-alignment shit. They are always legit it seems like.
Is UW gonna win the Pac10?
Big time high school game in my neck of the woods as the #1 High school team in the nation (per Rivals) is taking on another team on a 28 game win streak out of Memphis (MUS). Quite a few highly prized recruits to take the stage.

There is no way to rationalize going for 2 in the first quarter of a game you should win in a blowout. Obviously not every team feels like it gives them a better chance to win. Kiffin did. Nothing wrong with it if you ask me. And I don't want to hear about games you "should" win in a blowout. Shit happens, especially early in the year on the road. You can't take anything for granted. Maybe if Michigan made a couple 2 point conversions vs Appalachian State they wouldn't have lost. I'm not a Kiffin fan, and he probably is an asshole - but his actions last night don't prove anything.
