All the Buzz about the Bulls and Heat this off season, the Lakers quietly just got way better from last season. Look at the additions and subtractions from last years roster:
Loses:
Famar Morrison Powell Brown
Additions:
Matt Barnes Theo Ratliff Steve Blake
Lakers have to be the heavy favorites. I really like what the Heat have done as far as putting guys around the LBJ, D Wade, and CB. but with no real PG, I have to think the Lakers would have the upper hand. I also think the Bulls will give the Heat a really tough time

Ratliff came because Powell didn't want to not play in LA. He will get time in AtL. What other big guy would we get for the vet min? And who will play the role of leader from the bench and play spare minutes. He will only get 4-5 minutes a game

Agree Lakers are the favorites, but why the hell do the heat need a true PG when James and Wade can create...

Love the pick up of Barnes. Much better than Raja Bell would have been.

Get over your selfs. Lakers barely won the title, they won't three-peat next season period. They struggled against so many different teams last year and only made it as far because of Phil Jackson mind games and the refs.

basketball player yes, Nba player, probably not, since he played half his career in a different league.
As for the whole 7 game series comment. If the refs help you win, and they are at home, then yes they will win that home game pretty much every time. How many times did it happen this year? 2? 3?

How the fuck did the refs help the Lakers win? Celtics are the NBA's little pet, if anybody is gonna get favorable calls its them, but even refs cant make KG's old brokedown ass 10 years younger, nor can they make Paul Pierce not a pussy.
As I see it, the West has gotten a little weaker this year. Spurs are one year older, and wont compete IMO, Mavs havent gotten any better, Suns got a lot worse. Nuggets are still lead by Melo, so they wont win a title with him, took weak mentally. Billups is just too old to lead that team.
OKC I think is still just too young, and LA wont underestimate them should they meet again. Portland, if all healthy, could be a challenger.
East is just weak. Lakers will beat whatever team makes it out of that junior league.

Even funnier than when you were getting all up on Nolan Ryan's jock the other day.

Not fair............... Lakers get Shannon Brown back for pennies on the dollar for two years. This team is stacked from top to bottom outside of Walton and Sasa, but neither will play anyways
