Miami and Lakers favorites to meet in the Finals.
Thunder took a step back for financial reasons.
No Rose.
Are Clippers for real?
Will Mavs even make the playoffs?
How will the Knicks implosion look this year?

I like the Rockets trade of Harden....They needed that center piece player, and I think he can have a Manu value to a team, and at his age, that is enough to build around. Rockets needed to trade in minor assets for something bigger (really anything bigger).....with Harden's age and history, I think this will be a wise investment...
Don't forget, the Rox still have max cap room next offseason to add that star power forward to go with Lin, Harden, Parson, Asik.

There was a bet you could take when Lin signed with the Rockets at one of Australias betting sites.
Will Lin score more than 15.5ppg to less. That paid about 2.10 both sides. I thought more than was a lock....now im not too sure

Don't forget, the Rox still have max cap room next offseason to add that star power forward to go with Lin, Harden, Parson, Asik. To be fair our options next summer appear to be limited to the Josh Smith's of the league. That is unless the Lin/Harden backcourt is a huge success and the Rockets can muster at least 40 wins and appear on paper as a team on the rise. Still don't see that being enough to lure a bigger name (off the top of my head) such as Chris Paul or Andrew Bynum. Free agency isn't the only way to get another star though. We have a ton of assets left over from Harden deal and who knows? Maybe another team is looking to move another superstar next summer. Can't forget that Royce White, Terrence Jones, and Donatas Motiejunas are also terrific prospects and could break out at any point.

I like what the Rockets did. They got a guy who is very good, young, and is definitely able to be a top 3 player on a championship winner for cheap.
It also gives them a more balanced roster.
I'm eager to see how my 76ers look with the revamp. I think the team is a year away from getting some better role players ( Kwame Brown & Nick Young in particular do nothing to get me excited) but I think the team can grow from within given the youth.
I wish Iggy the best, but they never had anybody good enough to pair up with him - unfortunately Elton Brand was too damaged to be that guy. I expect him to thrive in Denver.

Willing to bet this was somewhat set up or talked about in offseason, to where if they got off to slow start he is gone. What is terrible is that three main guys are hurt.
Wonder if somebody called Phil,lol.
Phil only coaches loaded teams,lol.

I wish Phil would come back and they just dominate. That would be awesome.

Phil Jackson inevitably being hired will not solve all of the Lakers problems.
If he is hired, and it is looking like he will be, he will most certainly reinsert the Triangle Offense. This still leaves a player like Steve Nash in disarray, as he is at his best when he's allowed to create and control the pace with the ball in his hands, ideally in the open floor.
Plus, not to mention, this is the worst Lakers bench I can think of in quite some time. The reason they won their titles in 2009 and 2010 was because of their depth, specifically players like Shannon Brown and Lamar Odom offering that much needed punch.
As for my Spurs, very pleased with a 6-1 start. I still think they have to be considered as a title contender. Before the season all everyone was talking about were the Thunder and Lakers out West. Now that SA has a full training camp together, and given the strength of their bench (Stephen Jackson, Boris Diaw, Gary Neal, Patty Mills, Tiago Splitter, etc.), I really like their chances again this year.
I broke down and bought NBA League Pass now that I don't have school and am currently searching for a full-time job while living with my parents. Figured it was worth a shot to see how much I like it, plus I want to really cherish these last couple of years I get to see Duncan and Ginobili. I want to see every game I possibly can.

Did neals efforts hurt mills?
