He had bust written all over him barring great development later in his carreer. This move in the 1st year can't be a suprise.

I met this guy at all-star weekend. He walked into our party looking like a 7'3 Steve Urkel with his thick framed glasses. No joke.

everyone knew it was a bad pick before it was made except for Heisley and the dumbass wannabe grizz fans that knew nothing about him other than he was tall and blocked shots in college. Ignoring the fact he can't actually play basketball, got dominated by much smaller opponents, and could just sit in the paint in college without a 3 second rule

Yeah, you could see that was going to be a bad pick from a mile away.
Remember that Pitt/UConn game when Blair took it to him??

Should have taken Tyreke... Tyreke would have been nice, but I cant say that I honestly wanted to take him at #2. He has been a surprise, but on a really shitty team where he has free will to do whatever it is he wants. he would have had no such role in Memphis. Its likely he wouldnt have been so impressive coming off the bench for Conley. Having said that, I would have loved to taken a PG, even it mean trading down, but thats the thing, I doubt we got ANY offers to trade down in what was a pretty weak draft. No team wanted Thabeet or Rubio enough to give up something to gurantee they got them.

i wanted rubio or tyreke. Instead we got thabeet. I posted countless times about how no big with his skill set coming out of college has done anything in NBA history other than Dike and mark eaton. About the only guy I was wrong about was stephen curry. I didn't think he'd play as well as he is.
