They're really going at it in the Lakers/Suns game. Looks like Kobe might be a little pissed off Steve Nash stole MVP away from him. Kwame Brown is his hired goon.

Actually I have nothing against American basketball and the proof is that we all share a common love for the NBA (american league?). I don't like all non american players but maybe unlike some americans I happen to look at all the players the same. I really like some american players like TMac, LeBron, Kidd and others (my 1st favourite player was Tim Hardaway who is american last time I checked) but some of my favourite players happen to be non americans. I don't like Germany but I really like Dirk as a player, I don't like Russia but I really like AK as a player. I don't even know where Canada is (joking) but Nash is a joy to watch. And I could go on with Manu and Pau to a lesser degree. I was talking about Marion because of other debates but I wasn't even thinking if he was american or not.
Nationality is probably relevant to you since you seem to bring it up often but I can assure you it is a non factor to me. I do understand though. Of course if there was a Portuguese player in the NBA I would be totally biased but German, Australian, American or Argentinian it's all the same for me. You seem to forget that they are all foreign players to me. I just happen to like their game. Maybe it's a difference in the concept of the game. To me basketball isn't so much about "flying" and dunking. It's more about good sharing of the ball and good shooting.

Most players lose offense when you play defense. Nash should try it some day. The really good ones don't lose talent when other raise theirs. The really good ones show up in playoffs. Dirk doesn't seem to be losing any gas against Memphis. I have nothing against Marion but it's pretty obvious to me that he is overated by some due to his awesome numbers. But those are just numbers. When we watch the game itself it's clear he can't carry a team. He is just a great role player. And even that it seems it's just during regular season. (Carrer - 18.7ppg on .473 , Playoffs - 15.2ppg .433)

And on the Kobe thing. The argument for him to be MVP was because he had so many points, taking all those shots because the team was so crappy so he did what he had to do to carry it to playoffs. No, he was playing by himself and puting a one man show. That's not an MVP.
NOW we are seeing the best Kobe of the season. He isn't just looking after his numbers. He is getting everyone involved, he's sticking to the coach plan and proving that team play > one man show. His team doesn't look so crappy now because this are Kobe MVP performances, dispite his not so amazing personal numbers.

Dirk doesn't seem to be losing any gas against Memphis. That's not a very good point at all. Dirk has played NO defense in the Memphis series yet. Game 2 might have been the WORST coached Grizzlies game this year. Dirk had 2 fouls and Memphis didn't go at him once the whole 10 minutes he was in the 2nd quarter. That could have changed the whole game around. Not to mention the backups were in the whole 4th too. But that games done now. Dirk isn't playing defense is what I was saying...

There were about 5 players that could have got MVP and no one has any legit arguements on why the shouldn't have. Everyone just has their #1. Mine was Kobe, yours was Dirk or Nash...forgot who you said. Everyone has their top 5. But the 5 that were listed were all legit.

Most players lose offense when you play defense. Nash should try it some day. 54 wins later, i think what nash tried worked pretty well.
