Ahhhhh I keep hearing about today's episode and I can't watch it till tonight. The last two were utterly insane. *Spoilers for Chapter 14* Growing up as a kid and watching the OT was a treat and I always thought Boba was such a badass. As I've grown up I've definitely fallen into the "Boba is overrated" camp of thinking cuz be did absolutely nothing and then got punked like a bitch in Return of the Jedi. To finally see what a badass he was in live action and all its glory... I am not ashamed I sat up in glee and fanboyed out hardcore, as did my wife. They did for him what Rogue One did for Vader. *End spoilers* And literally excited about every single project they announced about yesterday, mostly about the High Republican one set 200 years before the Skywalker saga. I'm only worried that Kathleen Kennedy continues to be in charge of this all. I echo all of this. everytime there is a subtle (or not so subtle) "fan service" moment or where something particularly Star Wars-badass happens (there are a few in today's episode, get pumped!!), i am audibly reacting out loud smiling from ear to ear. its just so much fun to watch. these new projects that they announced yesterday sound amazing Normally I'd be worried that this turned into fan service the tv series, but it's been handled so well I'm perfectly fine with it lol

I'm a little bummed they're not using Ashley Eckstein to be live action Ahsoka

I definitely thought after Katie Sackhoff was brought in for Bo-Katan that the Rosario Dawson casting was made to throw everyone off. Guess not lol

I didn't realize how physically "right" she was for the role until recently. I also hadn't realized that the designers of CW/Rebels made Ahsoka's face to somewhat look like Ashley's. I don't know--I definitely like how Rosario looked for sure, but it felt like such a slam dunk (and layup at the same time) to have Ashley bring Ahsoka into live action with the perfect voice/face for it. Would've given everyone goosebumps on a totally different level. Maybe "Ahsoka the Grey" isn't supposed to be as bubbly as the younger version of herself, but Rosario's portrayal felt almost totally devoid of the joy and levity with which cartoon Ahsoka always seemed to carry herself.

First of all I had no idea David Eckstein's wife was the voice of Ashoka.
Second, I think since Ashoka's episode was really a backdoor pilot for her own show they wanted someone recognizable to play Ashoka. Now if they got David Eckstein to play Ashoka that's a different story.
And it's clear Disney is trying to be more inclusive (especially with Phase 4), which I'm all for.

I'll be honest, I'm working through Clone Wars now and then will start Rebels. I had actively made the decision not to watch them previously but this season has really made me want to dive in, so I don't have a huge connection to Ahsoka here(I've always been a person who followed those stories though, so i'm not totally unfamiliar, I'm just not super into animated things). But given what I know about where they have her in the first season or so of Clone Wars and what I know how Star Wars turns out for this era of folks, I can't imagine she should be played with any more joy than Rosario portrayed her. She truly lost everything and everyone. Her way of life is gone. Her old mentor is dead and was one of the worst war criminals ever. So I get it.

I remember watching the timeskip years ago with Ahsoka and not feeling. That timeline between eps 2 and 3 is the best.

I'm gonna start season 2 tomorrow(maybe tonight). I like it.

It was originally planned as more of an anthology series but as the show continued the stories became more serialized. So Lucas started out making episodes as the ideas came instead of having a plan on how it all fit together. It's now recommended that you watch the show in chronological order for the best experience. www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder

Alice in Borderland on Netflix was pretty good. There were times I was annoyed with some of the things the characters were doing, but overall enjoyed the ride, and look forward to 2nd season if it happens.

I like Star Wars, but not a fanboy. Mandoline Mandalorian finale last night was pretty epic though.
