What is the general opinion by people out there about Vince's trade value? Also, I'd like to know what team you cheer for and what would be a reasonable offer from your team for Vince.

I can see that working, not a crap bench guy but a contributor. I think that if vince could stay healthy that he would dominate, but for him to be good he has to attack the hole with reckless abandon, getting himself hurt too much

Vince is one of the better players in the league, "when healthy". There is not much he can't do. He can definitly take a team over the top.

I like all the signs in the crowd at Toronto saying "Drive the Lane, Vince!"
I think this last string of injuries has him very worried about getting hurt and that messes up his inside game.
Read lots of articles about how he is no longer a "Dr. Funk" level player. No longer considered a Jordan heir.
I think he is good Pippen to someone else's Jordan. I can see that. I think alot of GMs think of him that way.

I think he could be a great pippen as well. Too many injuries screw with your head, he doesn't take it to the hole like he used to cause he's always scared of something happening. Dare I say? He has Jordan talent

I would definately agree that he has the talent and athleticism, but is lacking in aggressiveness. He has become timid compared to his first couple years.
I really wished he could have turned out like he had the potential to, especially after his third year when he averaged 27.6ppg 5.5rpg 3.9apg 1.5spg and 1.09 bpg. People bashed his defence, but this has only been a victim of his injuries. I still don't think he's as bad of a defender compared to what the general opinion of his defence is. He is often able to make a clutch block or steal at the end of a game.

I think Vince could be done. He'll still put up decent numbers and go to the all-star games because of his popularity, but he doesn't have the desire to win. Doesn't work in the offseason to improve his game or strengthen his body to prevent so many injuries. Like I've said before, wasted talent.

yeah, that's what separates a KG from a vince carter, the work ethic and heart. That's why I don't see D. Howard developing into something like KG.

Vince Carter:
Marketing Value: Very High
Ability: High
Work Ethic: Poor
Winning Rate:Poor
Overall: Average
Sure VC is a 'high flyer' of the NBA and a marketers dream but he will never be a superstar in the mold of his cousin TMAC or Kobe. He is to injury prone, lacks work ethic and doesnt have that knack for taking control of games often enough ala Garnett, Shaq and AI
Overall he's trade value would be condsidered HIGH but realistically if he was traded the team on the recieveing end would probably give up more than VCs value.
