K-Mart is now in Denver, so they now have a powerfull, young starting line up. They give up three first rounders, but those picks most likely wont add up to K-Mart's potential
1-miller 2-lenard 3-melo 4-mart 5-nene/camby

I personally think Martin isn't worth the contract the Nuggets gave him. He won't be able to play at as high a level in the West without Jason Kidd.
The Nuggets had a much more pressing need at the 2, if they were a little more patience they could have negotiated a sign and trade or waited untill next year.
Does Nene sit on the bench now?

I guess so, Nene is younger, with pretty much the same stats

Three first rounderrsssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! man the nets lucked out they get alot of cap room and get rid of him and then those nuggets three first rounder given up they will definetly add up to be better then KMART and the money he gets paid it is a shame how these not even awesome stars get so much and the only reason he was good was because of KIDD arguebally the best PG in the league

The nuggets should be good now, so there first draft choices that they gave up most likely wont be as good

my question is this:
how in the world are the nuggets going to be able to afford to give carmelo a max. contract when he wants one and nene a very big (if not max) contract when he's due..........the nuggets should've been like my team the spurs and planned things ahead of time (ex. if spurs would've signed jkidd they wouldn't have resigned gino)
denver has a sick lineup now........but i just dont see how they're going to keep all of those guys together for years to come
also.........
camby was overpaid big time.

geez... 3!!!! firsts... hmmm... not very smart if u ask me... although k-mart is a good player regardless of kidd or not he is still alrite... Denver shouldnt have give 3 first rounders... there team is a growing team... with melo and nene... they could have grabbed an early pick next year probably about 12 without k-mart... and then with them three young players (melo... nene.. ??) they could have a run at the championship in lyk 5 or so years... they would b kick@ss!!

first of all, kidd is definetly the best PG in the league. K-Mart is a quality player and with Andre miller running things he should continue his goodness. If Denver has enough money then it won't be hard to resign Nene and Carmello since in the NBA you can go over the cap to resign your own players, and chances are they'll have a ton of money since Carmello is a great marketing tool

By the time Melo and Nene are ready for Max contracts, they will have 3-4 years on the team. Allowing the team to sign them to max contracts regardless of salary cap. This is called the Larry Bird exception. Player needs to be undercontract for at least 3 years. Traded players also have their "bird years" traded with them. But they will definitely be over the cap. Dont think that will stop them though.

Manu was a 2nd draft pick, which is only a two year contract. So Spurs only had 2 bird years, meaning that had to make offers under the cap, or offer their low and mid-level exceptions.

Do you guys think they have a chance at running to the title this year?

Mojo is this trade going to be reflected in the Rosters you put out?
I feel the Nuggets definately had a more pressing need for a shooting guard. But K-Mart is a real good addition to the roster. The trade gives the Nuggets the much needed inside depth.

The first rounders NJ got was one from Denver (likely somewhere from 15-25) and the others from the Sixers and Clippers, which both could end up being high picks. Not bad considering NJ wasn't likely to match if K-Mart signed an offer sheet with Denver and could have gotten nothing at all.
