Larry Johnson started all the basketball character commercials, at least, he was the first one i remember growing up. Not as good as the Lil Penny ones, though. Man, I hope they bring Lil Penny back and have him knock the shit out of that Thirst knock off.

I don't know how anyone can vote for T-Mac, I really felt his true colors were exposed this year. How can someone be the best SG in the league if he leads his team to 21 wins in a season.

You could say the same for Kobe being exposed with his poor performance being shut down by Prince in the Finals this year. People tend to forget T-Mac carried awful teams with no depth to the playoffs in previous years and nearly knocked out Detroit in the 1st round last year. This year it finally caught up to him and now all of a sudden he's lazy and doesn't care about winning. IMO T-Mac will be a lot more motivated next year in Houston.

Also, as for T-Mac's defense, it's hard for a single player when it's his job to not only score the points for the team and set up other players to score, but also to play shut down D. He averaged something like 2 blocks a game back when he was with the Raptors and didn't have all the scorind load.

Nah, there are no excuses for not playing defense. You get payed to play both ways. And when he single handily almost beat the Pistons last year in the plays I gotta call you bluff. Drew Gooden for some strange reason OUT PLAYED Big Ben. And that was the reason. And it is ALOT easier for a player to lead a sorry team in the East to the playoffs rather then in the West.

I don't understand the whole thing with T-Mac "not playing defense". He is very capable of being an excellent defender and I'm sure if he had Shaq backing him up instead of freakin Andrew Declerq he would get much better recognition for his D. We'll see next year when he has a nice supporting cast around him.
And for the playoff series last year, is it no coincidence that when T-Mac was hot and lighting up Detroit they took a 3-1 lead but when he floundered Orlando lost the last 3? I don't recall how well Gooden played in the series but Detroit's focus was obviously on stopping T-Mac first and when they did so they won.

anyone that says "its nice to finally be in the 2nd round" when they are not yet in fact in the second round has a permanent place in my book of sorry NBA players. He'll really have to show me something for me to respect him again
