Is that a joke? A better question is, how is team USA gonna talk shit when they're being whooped by more skilled teams? Saras is a lights out shooter, he's gonna take a lot of NBA point guards to school. Shooting a wide open jump shot where you did nothing to get it is NOT taking somebody to school. -Dre Yes it is.

In that case, my 6 year old cousin can take Bruce Bowen to school.

Your 6 year old cousin, unless he's really something special, would never get a shot off over Bruce Bowen becuase Bowen actually plays defense, unlike Team USA. Saras took all of Team USA to school. He schooled them on how to shoot a basketball and how to NOT play defense. If half of Team USA played with his fire and passion, the USA would have killed the world, instead of disgracing the country with the Bronze.

I never said he had to get a shot off ON Bruce Bowen, all my cousin gotta do is stand at the 3-pt. line while the PG takes it to the hole, draws Bowen, then kicks it out to my cousin. Then he can do what Saras does. He don't even gotta move. Just stand there, do no work at all, then shoot a shot wit nobody guarding him. Tell me how much skill that takes?

And it obvisouly takes some skill, because Team USA couldn't hit the broadside of a barn for most of the tournament. I know this may shock you, but shooting is one of the most important skills in basketball, and its one the Euros have perfected while the US guys have been working on their windmills and 360s.

Tell me who's the better BASKETBALL PLAYER...
Jamaal Tinsley, who can't shoot real well, but can handle, defend, be a leader, run the offense, get into the paint at will, and get his teammates involved
or
Sarunas Jasikevicius, who can shoot open shots...
Pretty easy to see...you don't talk shit when you can't do half the shit the guy you talkin to can do.

However he's also an average shooter, near the top of the league in T/O's every year due to trying to make too many fancy passes, and is injury prone. Saras is allegedly one of the best shooters and best leaders in the world. He's also allegedly a great passer/handler. He's so good, he's got, pretty much, a cult in Europe. He's like the Beckham of basketball over there. As a huge Pacers fan, I can tell you, if Saras lives up to half the hype he's made for himself in Europe, he'll be starting over Tinsley before thew All-Star break.

I never said they wasn't important, I said it didn't take nearly as much actual skill as going into the lane, wit people actually guarding you, taking hits and things like that to score. And you for damn sure don't talk shit like you did somethin nobody else could do.
You go to your neighborhood rec center, and some kid, who obviously sucks, is playin witchu. But he makes a 3 when someone is on a fast break or somethin and gives it to him when everyone's attention is on the guy driving to the lane. Maybe he even makes another one. Does that make him a good player, or good enough to be talkin shit? Hell no.
If you get my cousin out on a court and give him a ball. He shoots and makes a couple 3's. The kid is 6, and about 3 1/2 feet tall. But he made a few 3's...that means you want him on your team?

Imagine Steve Kerr talking smack after hitting the game winning shot because MJ drew everyone's attention and passed the ball to Kerr.

ok then, if jumpshots aren't as important as driving to the lane and being flashy then tell me why the US got their asses handed to them in the olympics?
if you're winning you can talk shit no matter how your shots are falling, if you're doing cool shit - but getting your ass kicked you shouldn't be talking shit just because what you can do is flashier and looks better when its successful 1 out of 5 times.

Are ya'll fuckin braindead? You keep tellin me jump shots aren't important. I've said two or three times that I never deemed them unimportant. It's the first fucking sentence in my last post.
And when did I say anything about "flashy moves" (as you honkies call it)?

Don't a racist comment have to involve something negative about a race? Maybe I'm stupid, but I don't see that.
