God I used to get so excited for the NBA Draft, now that the Sonics moved (were stolen) out of town, I only kind of care about this. To think all this time I hated you and we have the same thing in common with the Sonics, lol. On another note from watching a ton of college basketball, and having seen these European guys, here is my top 10 players talent wise. 1. Blake Griffin - no brainer 2. Thabeet - With what Howard is doing in the league, he is a poor mans version. 3. Johnny Flynn - I think he is a very underrated player in this draft and will have a better career then jennings and rubio, however they are all real close. Flynn just has that take over the end of the game mentality that makes him better. 4. Harden - Next michael redd 5. Brandon Jennings - I think better then rubio 6. Rubio - great player, just feel the other's are better. 7. Curry - lights out shooter, just a matter if he can play d and get minutes in a starting role. 8. DeRozan - young, athletic pretty big SG. 9. Hill - a poor mans thabeet. But the NBA has been getting much faster, so big defensive big men that are slim and run the court prove to be very valuable. 10. Clark - Going to be a monster SF like shard lewis, very strong and has the range to play outside. You hate me? Why?

i hope minny is getting the picks to move up and grab Rubio, memphis will gladly take 5 and 6. Also, what the spurs and other teams do should be illegal, close the loophole now, its silly and makes a mockery of the league. Several people are reporting on the Grizz board that the Celtics have traded Rondo to the Grizz, but i think its all bullshit. How do you suggest they fix that? The worst trade was the Mavs-Nets two years ago when the Mavs threw in Keith Van Horn, who had retired for the most part. When you're throwing dead bodies into the deal, ok, something's wrong, but it was a salary dump on behalf of the Bucks. I believe he's referring the fact that the Spurs keep trading players, getting better ones in return, and then the player(s) they traded end up back on the team 30 days later. The league nixed the original Kidd-to-Dallas scenario because the Mavs planned to do it with Jerry Stackhouse. Yet the Spurs did it no problem with Brent Barry, and may very well do it again with Bruce Bowen and/or Fabricio Oberto -Dre

As a Wizards fan im not very happy with this trade. Miller can hit the three and Foye gives us a PG and lets us shift gil to SG. Plus we dumped some salary in etan thomas. But i would have liked to wait and see if Rubio fell to #5, I guess Grunsfield felt Foye > then any player left in the the draft at #5. I think it's a pretty solid deal for Washington. Miller is a very nice final piece to their starting lineup, and Foye will be a great addition to an already solid bench. Foye, Nick Young, Andray Blatche, DeShawn Stevenson, and JaVale McGee is a very versatile bench. This won't help their defense at all, which is honestly concerning, but if everyone (Arenas, basically) comes back healthy, and Flip Saunders running things, the Wiz could be one of the top 3 or 4 scoring teams in the league. I just don't see them getting the impact of Foye + Miller from anyone they take at #5 -Dre

What are you guys hoping for your team?
For the Lakers...
Best Case: Darren Collison or Nick Calathes Content with: Any International project that can be stashed overseas Worst Case: Trading the pick for a future 2nd rounder

Best Case: Draft a couple International projects with our 2nd rounders, let them develop overseas Content With: See above Worst Case: Draft college players here that don't have a shot in hell of getting on the 15 man roster

76ers
Best Case: We trade up and get Jennings or really any of the top tier PG's or just hope one of them slip Content with: Obviously, it looks to be Ty Lawson or Eric Maynor which I could easily live with. Worst Case: Trading the pick down or not addressing the need of PG (even if Andre Miller comes back he's getting older)

I don't see how any of you can think Thabust is worth the #2 pick. Thabust is not a poor man's Howard and unlikely to be the next Mutombo. How many 7+ foot players in the history of the NBA other than Dike and Mark Eaton have come into the NBA with Thabust's skill set (good shot blocker, average rebounder, no offsensive game, afraid of contact) and actually became more than a role player?

76ers:
Best Case: Staying put and still getting a PG I can live with, and unloading Dalembert. Content with: Address the eventual hole at PG or the issue at C with the 1st pick. Worst Case: Picking a guy who plays forward.

I think thats the max picks can go for which is surprising. If it increases the odds of resigning Odom, Ariza and Brown I'm all for it.

I think he's quite likely to not like up to lofty expectations, but there will be someone out there who will take a chance on a guy who might end up being the next Samuel Dalembert if he doesn't develop. I'd rather not do that high in the draft, though. If he can make himself a good rebounder, that would be enough for him to have value.
