I didn't see this posted, so don't think it's been brought up, but does anyone else think Eddy Curry is a complete moron? Take the damn test, jeez. Even if it comes back negative, at this point, you're not going to get any money anyway because you won't take the test. And, I mean, what the hell? It's possible that the test could save your life, so it should be a no brainer. How are you going to spend any of that money if you're dead? Not taking it only makes it look like you know something's wrong and you just want to get a long term deal and retire.

Do you have a link to a story about this?

Here's SI.com's NBA writer Marty Burns' take on it.I would tend to agree--it seems simple to say that he should take the test and be done with it. But does taking the test then open up the team, and, by extension, other employers to test for any number of potential ailments prospective employees might have? If so (and a court might rule that way), privacy advocates would go nuts. Of course, the downside is that no one wants to touch him with a ten-foot pole, especially after what happened to Thomas Herrion of the 49ers last month. It's a tough situation.

its more of a question of ethics i believe? because w/ his DNA i belive the bulls want to look for other things? i believe it is not legal for companies to force you to have DNA tests and such lemme search for a link of where i read this sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AlHL19eBIJAiq7E2sNiurtO8vLYF?slug=cnnsi-inwhosebestinte&prov=cnnsi&type=lgns"More important for pro sports -- and perhaps society at large -- Curry's reps argue that submitting to such a test could set a dangerous precedent. "If employers could give employees DNA tests, then they could find out if there's a propensity for illnesses like cancer, heart disease or alcoholism," Alan Milstein, a lawyer who is helping represent Curry, told the Chicago Tribune. "They will make personnel decisions based on DNA testing."" thats curry argument..or what his reps are saying to defend him not taking the test

true, but we're talking about possibly saving his life. Forget that the team wants Curry to take the test, Curry himself should want to take the test. If he takes the test and is cleared, his value will skyrocket. If he takes the test and fails, it could save his life. Looks like a win win situation to me and it's not like he's not already a millionaire.

Maybe he took the test and failed so he doesn't want teams to know the outcome of such a test. Maybe he is an idiot and wants to keep putting is life at risk.

but even w/ this i think he is an idiot.......unless he knows some1 like the knicks, warriors, or another team wants him for a contract he wants he is stupid in not taking the test
but i have a feeling if he isnt given QO he will end up w/ the knicks......they did it w/ crawford i think it might happen w/ curry

the only reaosn this is wrong is that DNA is your identity, if the Bulls find out wahts wrong with him and ends up in the wrong hand, they can discover if he has color blindness, cancer, osteoprosis etc etc any autosomal or sex linked trait thats going thro his genes. I dont think many people want their personal identification given just like that just beucase they might know whats wrong with him. Even if they find whats wrong with him, you cant cure it, you can only slow the process down. Either way, this is wrong, DNA test shouldnt be done on him, ethically and morally wrong!!

well with his thing with heart, i dont think ANY team would let him play. It'll be that Reggie Lewis incident all over again in the 1993 playoffs if anybody was alive back then and watched that game. He just died 1st round after he went thud

Actually, that was a playoff game vs the Hornets and he didnt die then. He died that offseason while shooting around at a gym in some college.
