any one catch it last night? liddell/silva fight was nice. interesting to see what silva and hughes do now. silva with 3 straight losses and hughes can only retire or fight for second place from here on out unless he changes weight classes.

I watched it, that Lidell/Silva fight was a good one. Hughes is done, sure he'll retire. That Clementi/Guillard fight was a suprise to me actually. There's some bad blood there, alot of trash talk..lol
Oh and St.Pierre is a bad ass. Can't wait for Silva/Henderson either.

i read that guillard and clementi were trash talking each other in e-mails, then saw each other at a fight event. clementi offered to shake his hand and asked about the e-mails and then guillard sucker punched him. They got into. guillard threatened to shoot clementi and he got kicked out. that's why they now hate each other.

This was one of the best UFC cards in a while, Liddell looked like his old self and Machida really showed that he's a force at Light Heavyweight. I'd love to see a Machida/Liddell fight next for #1 contender.
I personally think Hughes is done. He knows he's outmatched by GSP and his strength can only get worse at this stage in his career, and that's really been the only thing that wins him fights. I don't think Wandy's loss will be that hard on his UFC career. As far as most fans know, he's only lost 1 straight - and it was an awesome brawl versus one of the best LHW's ever. Maybe Wandy/Shogun next?

Just Watched UFC 79 again, that Australian dude is a bloody dud!! Typical
Unfortunately Hughes is Gone, He cant match it with GSP who is a Freak, Mind you though Hughes would punch Holes through Matt Serra who is nothing but a smart ass chump!! After Ultimate Fighter 7 I hate Serra and he just got lucky against GSP the first time, seriously the bloke just closed his eyes and swung and got lucky!!
The problem is Hughes cannot beat GSP, but he could pretty much beat anyone else in the division!!
I'll never forget how easily Hughes took apart Joyce Gracie!!
WTF is happening with Randy Corture!! If what I hear is true that is shattering!!
Good to see Chuck win again, Silva did well, has a strong chin, but chuck took him apart!!
The African dude was dissapointing!!
Whens Tito Back?? after his finished the apprentice i spose
I Just want to Finish with How Impressed I am with GSP right now, even though I sought of dislike him, he reminds me of anderson silva, who is a Bloody Gun mind you!!

I must admit, I didnt know that, But he is finished anyways, Its been a great Career but Hughesy is gone
St Pierre will dominate until someone else comes along, it wont be Serra thats for sure
Lets look at the Problems in the Heavyweight division, there is just nothing there really, Tim Silvia looks like a big Gumby
The Light heavyweight division is Cranking right now, Rampage jackson, I cant believe he is the title holder, his record in pride wasnt that good from memory??

it was good. he just never took his training serious. now he's older and has better trainers. even in pride his only losses were against top competition. hell, he even beat that K-1 guy twice in the bouts that only allowed striking. that's damn impressive considering he's known for takedowns.

Yeah fair enough, What about Chuck, do you reckon he can Challenge Rampage for the title again, or Maybe Tito?? I think Tito might be past it now, doesnt seem like he really cares anymore??
Rampage Jackson as a Coach on Ultimate fighter 8 should be good, has that started yet??

i imagine they've started filming. rampage has already beaten chuck twice. assuming rampage beats forest I would think jardine is next on the list ahead of chuck.

i think machida is probably more deserving, but jardine is more popular and plus he beat chuck. Machida has some big wins, but the casual fan doesn't know him or the fact he beat Penn, Franklin, and Bonnar.
