I was hearing tonight the portuguese announcers say that in a recent election, Dirk was named nº1 and Sarunas nº2.
I haven't seen Sarunas play much in Europe but he had amazing moments.
Still I can't believe him being nº2.
It's more like:
1. Dirk 2. AK 3. Gasol 4. Parker 5. Peja 6. Sarunas 7. Z 8. Okur 9. Turkoglu 10. Diaw/Macijauskas
USA vs Europe (or rest of the world) could actually be an interesting game to have in the all star weekend.

In case you didn't notice, it's just active players. It's actually possible to make a list of 10 good European/NBA players without going into the past

Maybe but Hedo is a very good player. He is just not consistent in NBA but usually leads Turkey.

Pietrus has got to be up there - he just doesn't get the national recognition yet. He'll be a star in this league.

Macijauskas can't even be mentioned in the same breath as Diaw.

Macijauskas can't even be mentioned in the same breath as Diaw. -Dre Maciwhatever is actually a good player that you never had the chance to watch. He was star in Euro League. Sarunas was THE star. But it's always hard the 1st times in the NBA. Diaw also had a rough start. Especially when they aren't given a chance.

I will be a star in a Euro league...
I wasn't taking anything away from Arvydas, Diaw's just better.
