sports.espn.go.com/nba/allstar2008/news/story?id=3246576I say if Kobe has a legit reason not to play, why force him? He's going to attend the game, he isn't skipping the game to go to Hawaii. Plus this gives the chance for another deservant guy like Baron Davis the oppurtunity to play. I hope David Stern allows Kobe to not play, because it will be stupid to force him to play and he will only play 5 minutes before Byron Scott will pull him out of the game. While a healthy Baron Davis can be avaliable for the whole game. What do you guys think?

i agree, he has a legit injury, so why force him. as long as he's considered a 2007 all-star for his career even if he doesn't play in the game, why not let another deserving player like baron davis or deron williams make it?

David Stern is a moron and reassures me of that from time to time with idiotic stuff like this

I think Kobe should play 1 minute and sit out the rest of the game. Stern is being ridiculously stubborn. B Davis should be an all star already anyway.

Kobe should start and the west should call a TO as soon as they get the ball, then sub him out.
