What a surprise, Shaq sucks on the Suns too. He is at least giving the team a little toughness though.

It's his 1st game back in over a month. Also the 1st time hes played with any of these guys. He's not a dominate center anymore he just has to play D be tuff and get Boards. Also draw some defenders away from Amare and free up some open 3's. ooo yea and he's 35.

I turned this game on for a second and saw someone shooting technical free throws. Then they showed why the T's were being shot; a player (Odom maybe) tossed a ball into the basket support harmlessly after a sweet Nash dish to Diaw.
Then I remembered why I no longer watch the NBA.

That's a dumb reason not to watch the NBA. This is one of the best seasons in a long time, and this game was actually really fun to watch.

He played nice especially for a 1st game on a new team, and the 1st game back in over a month... Trying hard isn't going to cut it. Gasol, Odom and Bryant shot like 60% with most of their points coming in the lane. I thought Shaq was brought in for defense.

I think he was brought in for rebounding, and to force teams to defend the suns in the paint in half court.

Great game! Lakers look so good, I'm excited to see what happens when Bynum comes back.
As for the Suns, I actually really like this team more with this trade. Shaq makes Amare into a beast again. Shaq isn't going to avg more then 15 and 10, but Amare stats will sky rocket. Also guys like Grant Hill are going to get way more open looks. Even in the loss I was very impressed with the Suns. Defense is a long ways away from winning them a title, but they proved offensivly Shaq helps.

I don't know what sport they've turned the NBA into, but is sure isn't basketball. It's more like basketball entertainment - there are no violations on the superstars (traveling, 3 in the key, carrying, etc) there are excessive fouls called in favor of superstars, and technicals are given out at the first sign of emotion. It's a joke.

Kinda agree with Stork here.
I still watch the NBA but it's been a while since it was about basketball. It's 100% about entertainment for while. And I'm not even criticizing because obviously it works since the overall income of the league keeps increasing.
