I hate to say it... But if Canada had a Certain Dman running their power play they may not have the problems scoring goals that they have. Just sayin Pronger is stinkin it up out there and the USA would have had no answer for the speed and scoring Mike Green would have brought.

Hiller is hot and the Swiss are doing a GREAT job with their sticks clearing out the front of the net. Its 0-0 near the end of the 1st and if the Swiss get their 3-5 scoring chances for the next 2 periods this game is going to make my dick hurt.

Also, these Swiss fuckers are going low on us. Kessler jumped over some dildo who was about to throw a hip check but decided it was a bad idea at the last second and slid down. I think it was Backes who just got lit up on a clean open ice hip check but I havent seen one of those at this level in a LOOOONG time.
Well....end of the 1st and I have to leave....fuck....good thing I got my radio. The rebounds are there but the Swiss are beating us to them out infront ATM. We gotta figure out how to finish a couple of those off.

Ha pretty sure I predicted a 2-1 final and it ends 2-0. Not bad on my part. Wasn't able to see the game at all, but if the US wants to beat Finland/Czech it looks like they need to play a lot better. Again, I haven't even looked at stats yet, but I can tell you 2 goals won't be enough to beat either those teams.
And pow! A shutout! You never see those in the Olympics! Even if the other team scores like 9 goals, the loser usually chips in at least one. My boy Ry Miller from my Buff Sabres is looking nasty. Hope he can translate this success back to the NHL and help the Sabres get on a little run...

This is boring. I thought this was going to be a good game, but its a blow out. Stupid. This is just going to fuel more Ovie - Crosby rivalry talks and thats annoying. Good god they just scored again. 6-1 now. Nabokov looks like an AHL goalie out there. Back to the O-C talks... I hate them. Just because they came up at the same time and are the two best players in the league, doesn't mean they hate each other. But Crosby will now have a Stanley Cup and an Olympic win, if not a medal. I'd say he's winning.

Really excited to watch Finland and Czech next. Bunch of stars on both teams and very good goaltending. Hopefully its close.
Crazy idea - would it be so nuts for hockey to have a world cup? I understand almost no African teams play, but a ton of Asian teams are playing, almost every European country could field teams. I mean soccer has a world cup and basketball has a world championship, baseball has the WBC, where's hockey world tournament? Am I missing it? Plus I think if you give the world enough time to field a team, a lot of South American and Caribbean countries would do it. I like it.

Pretty sure there's a regular world junior (under-21) championship. I think it was just a couple of months ago actually.

Yeah I know they have juniors, but I want a full fledged world cup like tournament.
And Slovakia! Damn, there goes my Sweden prediction. Now I think it will be a replay of US and Canada in the gold medal game. I don't think the Slovaks have the goaltending - Halak was good last night but the Swedes don't have the firepower of the Canucks. And Im stoked I'll be able to watch the US game tomorrow, should be a good one.
