So sad to hear about the Spurs waiving Captain Jack today. Was one of my favorite players growing up and always loved watching him shoot. Rumor has it he wasn't pleased with his role, but he also was dealing with family stuff this past year so who knows. All I know is I'm sad to see him go. Man. Weird situation. Wish we could sin him but he can't play in playoffs??? Yeah there's some NBA rule prohibiting him from being signed for the playoffs.

Looks like there's a chance Kobe's career just ended right there. Brutal.

Can't imagine Kobe not coming back, but I Achilles then lakers have to amnesty him right??? Can they do that? If so, he rehabs, omes back with another team bc lakers are about to be SHIT, Kobe, Howard gone.

I agree, I can't imagine him going out like that. He's already saying he'll be back too. And even though it would save them something like 50 million, I can't see the Lakers amnestying him. While it could put him out a year, 6 months is also realistic, so he could feasibly be back around the start of next season. I wouldn't bet against him.
P.S. - That game was unbelievable tonight too. The most entertaining one I've seen in a long time.

You should have heard the Warriors announcers whining like babies on the air. Pretty pathetic.

The foul on Blake last night that gave the Lakers the lead near the end was absolutely comical. Even a Laker fan can admit that. What did Curry do, breathe on him too hard?

I do agree with you on that one. Didn't make any sense.

The NBA wants the Lakers in the playoffs and they'll do anything to get them there. These bad calls have been going on for a while, it's not isolated to the game vs the Warriors.

Typical baseless statement from a Laker-hater. Bad calls and poorly officiated games happen across the league.

Fuck I hope Kobe can come back next year and still play in top 10 level form, but considering his age and the mileage on his body already it doesn't appear likely sadly.

Conspiracy theories are fun, but to insinuate that the league is actually corrupt enough to instruct their officials to call more fouls in favor of a team like the Lakers is ridiculous. I'd ask you to show some facts to prove your case, but there aren't any. Poorly officiated games happen all the time, and the refs are definitely guilty of showing bias towards superstars on occasion, but that doesn't mean there is some grand scheme in place to set up the playoffs the way the league wants it.
