Kobe won't leave the Lakers.
They are destroying everything so they can make all kobe's wishes come true
Phil is out (he didn't like his system)
Shaq is on the trade block (he didn't like him)
$140M 7yrs (no one can give that)
Kobe wanted people to call the Lakers Kobe's team
I think he got it. Just waiting on the Shaq trade...

Ok, new twist on the Kobe story.
Kobe Talked to NY on Thursday, but all they can offer is the mid-level.
However, Nike would LOVE to see Kobe in NY and have supposedly offered Kobe and incentive package to go there. So maybe NY can offer better than $5M.
Only thing is, Kobe already has a $100M Nike deal. So what could they offer? Another $100M? Thats paying too much, ~ $100M is considered a Max contract shoe deal. But you gotta know that New Yorkers buy shoes and made Sprewell's jersey a top 10 all-nba seller this year. Sooo..... You gotta wonder what Kobe in NY is worth to Nike.....

[glow=red,2,300]K-MART -- WHO!?[/glow] Nuggets and the Nets seem like the ones who will get him... Kenyon said that his no#1 priority is to stay with the Nets... Kenyon, though, has a close relationship with Nuggets GM Kiki Vandeweghe... because as a college senior Vandeweghe helped K-mart get over his serious ankle injury... the Hawks want Martin but if Nuggets offer equal to the Hawks then Kenyon will go with the nuggets... K-Mart has also expressed interest in Dallas and mayb and sign and trade... he was raised in dallas... the Nets say they dont wanna go too far over cap or something so i dont kno whether they will match the offer in the 15 days they have if the offer is big!...

Brian Cardinal signed with Memphis for the FULL MLE and it looks like Etan Thomas will also get the FULL MLE from the Bucks. The FA market is crazy right now. Teams are just throwing around money.

yeah...........barry was only second in the league in three point shooting.........he's a great free throw shooter (something the spurs desperatly needed)............he can play both guard spots.........he's got experience..............the spurs had the cap room
this is a great move by barry and the spurs.........it gives barry the chance to get a ring (which he will get)..........and the spurs finally get a consistent shooter who can hit a three (unlike hedont turkoglu in the playoffs)

WHAT's up with the FA market? Cardinal at 6yrs for 41mill(from what I heard) is an amazingly bad move for Memphis. Where are they going to play him? backing up Gasol? Or being an 80th SF? Cardinal makes a great move and signs for way more than he is worth. Big men aren't cheap right now I guess. The Sixers mine as well sign Samuel Dalembert to a big contract ASAP before he leaves for 13mill next yr. Amazing.
