These are the top 10 draft picks from 2004 that I think will make the most immediate impact for their respective teams next year. Although a lot of it is contingent upon whether or not they get the minutes that they should get. 1. Emeka Okafor-C/PF (CHA)-obvious, becomes the best player on the team by just showing up. 2. Al Jefferson-PF (BOS)-provided he starts (like he should), will be close to a double-double every night. Can't usually say that about a HS draftee in his first year. 3. Devin Harris-PG (DAL)-assuming he's the starter, will fit in nicely in Big D. 4. Josh Childress-SG/SF (ATL)-teams with Harrington and Terry on the perimeter, should do well with few options on the team. 5. Luol Deng-SF (CHI)-looks as if he'll be the starter, impact may not show up in the box score, but he'll make a difference. 6. Ben Gordon-PG/SG (CHI)-won't get as much PT as top 5 unless Crawford is moved to another team, if that happens, would be at #4 on this list. 7. David Harrison-C (IND)-if Indy's coaching staff is smart, they'll start him at C, will do well with his big body. 8. Shaun Livingston-PG (LAC)-not much competition, has the players around him to make him look good. 9. Luke Jackson-SF/SG (CLE)-steps in as the likely starting SF for Cavs, will be that spot up shooter they need. 10. Andre Igoudala-SG/SF (PHI)-won't start right away, but with Iverson and Robinson constantly injured, he will get his chance to prove his worth.
Honorable Mention: Dwight Howard, Kirk Snyder, Dorell Wright, Jameer Nelson, Rafael Araujo.
So basically, my All-Rookie Teams look like this: 1st Team F-Al Jefferson F-Luol Deng C-Emeka Okafor G-Josh Childress G-Devin Harris 2nd Team F-Luke Jackson F-Andre Igoudala C-David Harrison G-Ben Gordon G-Shaun Livingston
Anyone else have comments, opinions, or your own lists?

here's my opinion:
1 - Okafor (CHA): again, obviously the best player on the team, will hold this team together on both ends of the floor.
2 - Childress (ATL): great versitile player on a bad team, he will adjust very well to the NBA, especially if his shot improves
3 - Jameer Nelson (ORL): pissed about everyone that passed on him, has a chip on his shoulder and something to prove, not to mention he's the reigning college player of the year.
4 - Biedrens (GS): Dirk/Kenyon mix will provide instant energy and awesome D. Needs to work on O but should be a big contributor.
5. Harris (DAL): Great pure PG, should thrive running this high-powered offense
6. Deng (CHI): versitile player on a young team, should step right in and start to contribute.
7. Jackson (CLE): Luke Jackson is a money player, can drive, shoot, score, play D. Lebron and him will love each other. Jackson could end up near the top of this list...we'll see how the season plays out.
8. Jefferson (BOS): 44 ppg, 20 rpg, 8 bpg. Numbers don't lie, regardless of the level.
9. Harrison (IND): gives indiana much needed help at the center position, Foster is a better player now, but Harrison will get a shot
10. Howard (ORL): Orlando is not a good team, they will look to the rookie and see what he can do, he's their cornerstone and I don't see them just letting him sit the bench

yeh very interesting points... i dont think that D.Harrison will have the impact u suspect... sorry dre... but i think he might avg. 4-6ppg 6-8rpg... will be interesting to see who will make an imediate impact to this great game of nba... i think maybe j.r smith will make an impact provided that toronto better the offer sheet mo pete signed with the hornets... otherwise i think that j.r will be good... Okafor will get the ROY for sure!... i think that you might be able to slot Dwight at least into the 2nd team... sure hes young and will get better and better but i do think that he will have a good season maybe-- 7-11ppg, 7-10rpg, 1-2bpg... will be an alrite player in his first season... Jameer definately big season wont score a lot due to size and that he will be off the bench due to trade with rockets involving the franchise... but probably 5-7apg... Rafael Araujo .. the reason raptors picked him up was they needed a C they didnt have 1 on their list... stupid decision by the raptors should have picked best player possible not what pos. they needed....

Okafor may end up being the only impact player this season, just because the bobcats suck so bad

Top 5:
1. Okafor
2. Childress
3. Jefferson
4. Harris
5. Araujo
These players should all see significant time and can contribute immediately to their teams.

I wanna see the BOBCATS surprise every one and land in the playoffs which would be bad for them because such a new team would want a lotto pick

Jahidi White ( i would think so) 4. Okafor (derr) 3. Gerald Wallace? 2. Tamar Slay? ( could be sum Forwards to slot there) 1. Eddie House say wat ya reckon and put sum starting 5s up for urselves... um also im pretty sure O will play at 4 but who thinks he'll play C?

White gets in too much foul trouble to play starters' minutes. C-Emeka Okafor PF-Melvin Ely SF-Gerald Wallace SG-Tamar Slay PG-Eddie House (anyone who thinks Hart should be starting is crazy.) -Dre

I think Wallace and Okafor are the only two players on the roster right now that have a chance of being there in 4 years
evry-1 else will b a bust ~
