Eric Snow to the Cavs.
This is very interesting and a good move for the Cavs. Eric is a great leader and some of said that AI, Snow and McKie were the heart of the 76ers. Eric is a very good defender and team player. I think the Cavs did good here, even though they got older. I cant see any benefit in taking on Ollie at all for the 6ers. Kedrick Brown doesnt seem good enough to me to get for Snow except he is young.
Van Exel to the Blazers.
Confusing. Good for the Warriors to get Dale Davis and end the knee risk and bad attitude. Bad for the Warriors because it reminds me of the mindless Fisher signing. Blazers now have Stoudamire and Van Exel at PG and are thinner at C. I cant see what they have in mind there. I have not seen Stepania play, but his stats as a backup in Miami were good. Also Portland could rotate Zach, Theo and Shareef around a bit. Possible prelude another move. Nash did good last year, but still hasnt completed the Sheed trade until the Reef issue is settled.
Ostertag signs with the Kings.
I think he was a better starter than anyone thinks. His stats look bad until you realize Sloan hardly used him. I think he is a good rebounding and defending C. I think Geof Petrie's endorsement backs me up on this. And Osty is one of the tallest and heaviest centers in the league who can rebound well if given minutes. A very good backup to Miller. I could be wrong, but I think this was a beautiful move and that Dallas should have got him. A tough, full size, full weight rebounder in the middle of Dallas would have done good for them.
