I think the nets are going to be pretty bad next year, especially if J-Kidd leaves, which I think he will. Kidd is what keeps that franchise in the playoffs, if he leaves their done. I think the Nets will get a 4 seed in the playoffs with Kidd(Pistons, Heat, Pacers), 8 seed without

Um....I got to go with the Nets also. And if you talk about fall off from last year, the Lakers aren't gonna do as good.

yeah, I considered the lakers, but that would just lead to gunit guy going off on how dominate Kobe is and I just don't want to deal with his mindless ranting right now

I think it'll be the Nets, and I definately don't think they are capable of a 4th seed with only Kidd.

All they lost was K-Mart. Kidd runs the show, they won't be a great force in the east, but certainly capable of 4th seed

Yea, and they are trying to trade for Shareef. That wouldn't be bad at all. He is no Kenyon though

Shaq held that team together, big men or unselfish scoring guards are what make great teams. Not Kobe the ball hog

I'm not a big Laker fan, but I think they'll still have a decent team. While they obviously lost out on the Shaq trade, they probably got the best of the offers they had. Grant is overpaid, but a hard worker, and can still hold his own, if for no other reason than the true Center is a dying breed. Butler could be a very good player if he doesn't get injured again and can improve. Odom is a very versatile player and all-star caliber. I think a 6th seed is reasonable, but I don't think they get any higher and with the improvements in the Western teams, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they missed the playoffs.

Also, Stork, you probably won't like this, but the Warriors might be even worse as well. They lose Cardinal, Damp, and NVE for Dale Davis and whatever they get for Damp, assuming they do a sign and trade. Not looking too good, and just two seasons ago they were close to making the playoffs.

He will be good, but not next season.

the nets wont be as effective next yr as they were last yr. Also, Cleveland needs a PF in the worst way. After Boozer did his thing and messed up the Cavs they were left PF less. Now the possibilities include SAR who is an outcast pretty much. He hasnt really been able to find a role with Portland and he could possibly come pretty cheap. Maybe Wagner+contract or something similar. Also Cleveland I think is going to miss the lockerroom presence of Eric Williams. Luke Jackson is a solid 2guard so he should really take a load off LeBron. Snow will help with the lockerroom but he wasnt a need as much as a PF is. McInnis last yr really showed us that he can be a good team leader and solid player. Snow just blocks PT from McInnis who deserves it.

Yea, I think Vin Baker was going to Cavs today for a meeting and possible contract. He wasn't bad last year. He has good size. It really depends on what kind of shape he is in....
