I saw this on ESPNews yesterday but was to lazy to post it.
Orlando gets: Tony Battie, 2 second round draft picks Cleveland gets: Drew Gooden, Anderson Varejao, Steven Hunter.
It is also reported on CBSsportsline under NBA. This is an absolute steal by Cleveland. I guess Dwight will be starting unless Tony bad knees Battie can hold up.

Dwight will start anyway he isnt a center he is a SF/PF....Battie is a center but can play PF but really isnt 1 cuz all he does is block and rebound.... He will start at center if he isnt hurt
Dunno y magic did this dumb trade....They could have got alot better C/PF then Battie....I would have went 4 ratliff, nazr,Laggy, ostertag even shawn bradley b4 i took battie

Well, being the Grizz fan that I am I got a good look at Gooden. HE SUCKS. I feel bad for Labron having to deal with him now. For some strange reason Drew thinks he is the PG on the team, and needs to take every shot there is.....
I would rather have Battie....

There's a reason Gooden is on his 3rd team in 3 years, and it's not because he's a hot commodity.

Gooden can score but that is about it. His defense stinks.

[ He will start at center if he isnt hurt]
There is one thing wrong with that statement. Kelvin Cato.

cleveland wins............drew gooden helps ease the pain of boozer leaving..........and............now that gooden is on a team that doesnt have a guy who takes every shot (TMac sure took a lot) i see him blowing up this year in cleveland.......how appropriate.........in his contract year to...........

Gooden is a tweener, not really a PF or a SF, and he doesn't play any defense. Battie is a good addition to Orlando as a 6th man or starter until Dwight Howard is ready. They didn't need Gooden anyway since they have Howard.

I think Gooden will help out the cavs a lot, I just don't understand Orlando usually. If they would have kept T-Mac, drafted Okafor and traded for Nelson they would have been a playoff team in the east, but instead they gut their team and put all their hopes on Howard being the next great thing. I don't see the magic being very good for a while

stork you forgot one part. T-Mac demanded to be traded, Orlando had to make a trade happen and got the best one they were offered.

I don't see the magic being very good for a while Gooden was flat out horrible last year for Orlando and he wasn't even starting, he was their 6th man. The deal they got for T-Mac was the best they could get. I think Orlando will surprise people next year. Francis, Mobley, and an injured Hakeem won 45 games in the West a few years ago. If they drafted Okafor, they could win more games next year but Howard is for the future and he has a chance to be great.

I agree with you about the Magic next year. Everyone says they are gonna suck really bad. They have one of the best players in the league in Francis. Mobley is a good player. And they have Kato now. And Grant Hill is gonna give it another shot, hopefully he will be alright. Also the rookie Howard won't be bad, along with the rookie Nelson which will be alright. Magic won't dominate, but they won't be dominated either.
