Trenton Hassell of the T-Wolves signed an offer sheet with the Trail-Blazers... because Hassell is a restricted free agent... T-Wolves have 15 days to match the offer... this signing has wrecked talks between New Jersey and Portland involving Shareff Abdul-Rahim... The nets needed him to fill the gap at 4 after the loss of K-Mart to the Nuggets for 3 furure First round picks...

Hassell couldn't even make the Bulls squad last year and was released. Now he's getting a big 6 year deal. Can't say I'm surprised though, considering the way free agency has gone this year.

free agency has been wacky this year...........but the loss of hassell will hurt the wolves........he's a young bruce bowen and he can hit perimeter shots when open..........good signing by portland (overpaid him though)...........and i'm pretty sure minnesota wont match a high offer for just a role player.

Good pick-up for the Blazers-definately overpriced. I don't see Wolves matching unless they match and then deal Hassell to the Blazers.

I don't think the Wolves are going to match but i think this is a good pick-up for the Blazers because the fill a very weak position shooting guard

Trenton Hassell has made Bulls management look just plain silly for letting him go and taking Linton Johnson III. 6 yrs, 27 mil? This guy couldn't hit the broad side of a barn when he was with us, now he's the new hot commodity of the league! I guess defensive stoppers are worth their weight in gold.

For some reason, everybody breaks out once they leave the Bulls. Watch Fizer end up winning most improved player next year.
