they are very different, footballs take a diagonall-ish wrist snap to get the velocity and spiral, but baseballs just need a straight down snap of the wrist cause its round and you don't have to worry about it wobbling. I've never been coached on either of these things though, so if someone wants to enlighten me go right ahead (like I need to give you guys permission)

You don't really snap your wrist unless you want to throw a curveball.

eh are you serious? no snapin of the wrist for fastball? ....... where did you learn to pitch? haha jeeez ive been taught in college too (NCAA D-1 booya) that to throw a fastball you have to snap your wrist down. on curve ball you snap your wrist side ways and slider you snap your whole friggen arm. try it, snap your wrist down as hard as you can and you'll get a huge pop on the ball and can bump it up 10mph. thats why your trainer tells you to work out your wrist, forearm and shoulder as much as you can to get the hard stuff out. being fat actually helps you throw those breaking ball more if ya want that as a tip

Yeah but snapping your wrist on a fastball is more of a natural movement whereas the snap you put on a curveball is much less natural.

eh its kinda natural, cause to throw a curve ball you have to rotate your whole arm in a 180 motion, so it snaps in the end on its own sorta....but i see what you mean.
