From the Chicago Tribune..........
There is a trade rumor swirling now that has Jermaine O'Neal (groin) heading to the Bulls in exchange for Kirk Hinrich and a first-round draft pick.
"We've had a team generally set to win it," he said. "Situations happened that tore our team apart a little bit. I've heard rumors. No player can get too comfortable in this league. If they feel I cannot get it done, I'll try to go somewhere else and get it done." This a longshot to happen now, but one of many rumors alive as the deadline approaches.

New York Daily News........
In the proposed three-team deal, Kenyon Martin could be headed to the Knicks, while Orlando would send Steve Francis to Denver and the Knicks would trade Anferne Hardaway to the Nuggets and Jamal Crawford to the Magic.
The Nuggets are looking to cut their payroll and want to acquire Penny Hardaway's expiring contract. The Knicks have made it known that Channing Frye is not available for trade despite numerous teams showing interest. He's the cornerstone for their franchise at this point.

From the Denver Post.....
The latest Nuggets trade rumor includes a deal sending Earl Watson and Voshon Lenard to Sacramento for Bonzi Wells.
Word is the Nuggets could still acquire Steve Francis in a three-way trade that includes New York and send injured Nene to Orlando and Watson to the Knicks. With Andre Miller and Earl Boykins on the roster already, it seems unlikely that Watson will be in a Nuggets uniform after the Feb. 23 deadline.

From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution...
Al Harrington, who will be one of the most coveted free agents at season's end, is not letting constant trade rumors affect his preparation process.
Harrington is averaging career-highs 18.3 PPG and 6.9 RPG, while healping the Hawks (16-34) already eclipse last year's win totals (13). "I'm not even sweating that stuff," Harrington said. "There's no need for that. I know who I am as a player and that I have a job to do for the next 32 games, whether that's in an Atlanta Hawks uniform or some other uniform." The deadline is Thursday at 5 p.m. ET.

Francis only one name expected to move Tony Mejia Feb. 20, 2006 CBS SportsLine.com Staff Writer
There was no on-court action Monday as teams commuted back from the All-Star break, but that doesn't mean there weren't developments. The week of the trade deadline is always a vital one, and while the blockbuster has already been pulled (Ron Artest), there are still a number of big names being discussed.
Last week's acquisition of Carlos Arroyo and Darko Milicic indicates Orlando is going to part with Steve Francis. With Jameer Nelson and Keyon Dooling already under contract, the glut of point guards has only one solution, particularly since many teams are willing to take a gamble on Francis. Orlando wants cap relief, young developing players and draft picks. They're in full-scale rebuilding mode.
One interesting development in the Francis chase is the rumors surfacing over the weekend that the Lakers might be willing to include Lamar Odom in a deal to help lure Kobe Bryant a backcourt mate. Odom has had issues with the triangle offense, and there have been rumblings he isn't enamored with playing the Scottie Pippen-role to Bryant's Jordan. While it remains to be seen whether Bryant and Francis could co-exist since both feel more comfortable with the ball in their hands, there's no question the swap would elevate the Lakers' star power.
There has been some concern Bryant is over-extending himself offensively and can't maintain his current pace without wearing down as the postseason approaches. Francis has never had a problem creating his own shot and would be able to take some of the pressure off Bryant. If that's the direction Los Angeles decides to go in, it would be with the hope Francis could be mature about playing a supporting role, something he's never done in his career. In both Houston and Orlando, Francis has been the No. 1 option and team spokesman. His moods and level of contentment have often directly affected his team's fortunes, but there's no way that would be the case on Bryant's Lakers. Would that be frustrating or liberating? Only one way to find out.
In Odom, Orlando would land a versatile frontcourt partner for rising star Dwight Howard, addressing the need that would arise if Grant Hill calls it a career in the offseason.
Other more complicated scenarios that have surfaced in the Francis sweepstakes involve Memphis, Minnesota, Denver and the New York Knicks. While that leverage would appear to help the Magic, their obvious eagerness to strike a deal hinders their ability to wait for the right one. Expect Francis to be in a new uniform by Thursday's deadline.
Denver expected to shake things up
The Nuggets are a major player in the Francis sweepstakes, with injured big man Nene and point guard Earl Watson as their primary bargaining chips. But talk that Kenyon Martin is being shopped won't go away, and the player himself says he's tired of the speculation and hopes the team makes a move if they're planning to.
Martin and George Karl have not seen eye to eye at all this season, partly because of Karl's frustration with Martin's lingering knee problems. The problem moving him is the risk involved with shelling out $65 million through 2010 for a player who might spend the rest of his career as a game-time decision.
As a result, if New York is willing to send Anfernee Hardaway's expiring contract as part of a package to land Martin, Denver might go ahead and pull the trigger. Isiah Thomas has been willing to gamble on Eddy Curry, Jalen Rose, Jamal Crawford, Stephon Marbury and Jerome James over the past few years, so no one is putting this past him, particularly with the Knicks languishing as one of the NBA's worst teams.
Harrington, Miles could loom as X-factors
One other factor to watch as the week begins involves which teams emerge as buyers. There are only five teams that would seem to realistically have a chance to win a championship this season (San Antonio, Dallas, Phoenix, Detroit and Miami), but is there a team looming that feels it's close enough to make the plunge?
If you're out there, Atlanta and Portland wouldn't mind hearing from you.
Al Harrington doesn't seem to be a part of the Hawks' plans and becomes a free agent this summer. As a result, the Hawks are certain to try to get something for him while they still can. The veteran forward turned 26 Friday and should be in line for a belated present -- getting back on a team with playoff plans. Harrington has played in 25 postseason games and was a major factor in the Pacers' run to the Eastern Conference finals in 2004.
Darius Miles has missed a large portion of the season with a knee injury but has made it back in time to be included as trade fodder. Any team that wants to take a shot on his vast talent will have to take on a fairly hefty contract, but there are some out there who feel his play turned the corner this season, with him embracing a go-to role next to Zach Randolph before going down.
But unlike Harrington, he has not participated in a playoff game in any of his six seasons.
Carlos Boozer, Drew Gooden and Melvin Ely are other young forwards whose names have come up as potential mercenaries in trade rumors.

From the Atlanta Journal Constitution...
Miami and Cleveland have both expressed interest in trading for veteran Tony Delk.
The deadline in tomorrow. It's also possible the Hawks could decide to buy out Delk's contract, allowing him to sign with elsewhere for the remainder of the season. He has played in just one game this season.

From the San Antonio Express News...
The Spurs have shown some interest in acquiring Tim Thomas, who is currently with the Bulls.
Spurs assistant coach Don Newman has a good relationship with Thomas from their days in Milwaukee. Coach Gregg Popovich also had tried to sign Thomas before he re-signed with the Bucks. San Antonio isn't looking to trade for Thomas but would be interested in signing him if he's released. Latrell Sprewell is also a candidate to join the Spurs, who had success with signing Glenn Robinson in a similar situation last year.

From the New Orleans Times-Picayune
J.R. Smith was listed as inactive for the first time this year Tuesday after the team informed him of a possible trade.
Asked if he thinks he'll be a Hornet on Friday, Smith said, "After right now, I couldn't say I would be, because I haven't played in so long and being inactive today... It sends mixed messages. If they feel I can't help the team, I guess it is best for me to go elsewhere. But if it was up to me, I wouldn't, because I grew up with this team and I know everybody pretty well. But it's not up to me." The second-year player has little chance of reclaiming his job from Kirk Snyder this season.

From the Denver Post...
Earl Watson is expected to be traded sometime today, and Seattle appears to be the leading candidate.
The Knicks have also offered Jamal Crawford for Watson. In the Seattle deal, Flip Murray and Reggie Evans continued to be discussed for the third-string Denver point guard. "I don't want to put my mind on something and then be disappointed. So I'm open-minded for whatever situation happens over the next 24 hours. ... I'm ready for a role, a defined role on a team," said Watson
