I personally think we evolved as well. What came before us? Where did the universe come from? Regardless of what religion you are, the fact that our universe (and the human race) is here can't be explained without a creator. Science points to it, in fact.

So, believing in religion is just, because you read it in a book? And if there is a god, why are there so many people that have different religions of different gods? Who's right? I personally think the bible is fiction that people waste their life worshipping and thinking its real.
Ever play that gossip game when you were younger where, you start with someone telling one person something, then you pass it along, and at the end its a complete different subject or sentence then what it started with. The bible has been translated into hundreds if not thousands of languages. How can right now the same thing that your reading and believing in, could have been an entirely different story from the book 300 years ago? 500 year ago?
Its funny to me that people were hung or criticized for talking about space and the actual world being round instead of flat. These people who were right were ridiculed for it, but people are ridiculed for believing in something no one can prove.
There was a point when everybody thought the world was flat, so I have a hard time believing that anything said in the bible that came from that long ago is bullshit. LOL, and whats this talk about judgement day? How have hundreds of years pass by, people still think their will be a judgement day, lol. So, do I get lucky if I die before judgement day? What about the people that died a 100 years ago, did they miss out on judgement day?

Of course it is ok to see guys of high up in the religion society molest little boys, thats very just as well.
20 years ago African-Americans weren't allowed in the morman bible either, now they are in the bible, so did god tell one of his followers to change the bible after all the years it was against africans?

I didn't intend to start an whole argument. It should be obvious by now to everyone that no side will ever hear the other and change is mind so lets just leave it at that. I'm just amused by some statements made here. It's hilarious that some still believe that there is an higher power that if you do what he says, he will take you into his arms and be happy for ever and if you don't you'll burn in hell for the whole eternity...but he loves us ALL very much. There are many ways to believe in religion and whenever sience can't explain something, there's room for religion, but this is my favourite line of thought.

I'd just like to know how anyone can think there isn't a higher power. Science (and tons of other things) clearly point to the fact that there is, and I find it to be a fascinating debate.

True, Its basically like an unsolved question, so both live in this world. There is no proof of god or that you go to heaven if you die and go by the bible your whole life to do that. There is also not proof that we actually evolved from absolutely nothing. So, there lies the arguement that both use again and again.
However, regardless of what you believe there shouldn't be war or death on the earth. Anyone that says there should be is a moron and doesn't have a basis to back it up. Coincidently, most wars are evolved around religion. Which basically means people want to kill each other because they think their god is telling them that or their religion is more right over the other one.
If you break it down very simply, its kind of like a bunch of kindergarten's fighting over who gets to play with the toys are play on the monkey bars. People are killing each other over something that can never be proven and because another person disagrees with one another. Seems like a very selfish way to go about your business.

Another thing that would actually relate to the topic at hand. If god saved people and loved everyone. Why couldn't he prevent the thousands that died in the earthquakes? Did he not save them because the chinese believe in another religion? Which according to christians is false.
I don't get how we should pray for the people that are suffering, seems if there was a god and he loved his children, why couldn't he prevent a disaster from happening to the people he loves?
Please don't get out of this that I am not sorry for what happen to these people or I don't care, because thats not it.

LOL, so instead of 'GOD' judging each person equally or separately he basis his judgement off of the supposed humans he created. Sounds a lot like our government going after terrorists.LOL. Basically judging people in the world because they look a certain way because the people that flew planes into our buildings looked the same.
