nice of you to say, bish. you were always my bish! i was thinking of a comeback too, stork. i was really getting the itch again for SLOC to be honest, but i don't have the diligence to do an FBCB dynasty on my own. i kind of threw up my hands in frustration a while ago with the FBB pro game, especially after starting to play FBCB. that game just never stops being fun. maybe if i get back into SLOC, some of you faithful SLO men will get in on it? If I ever finish my dissertation I am gonna get on some SLOC, it seems like a lot of fun from what I can tell. Back to the NBA, the Heat have looked pretty good, then again, they aren't playing much. I like the 6ers, but they are a few years away from being legit. I feel really bad when I watch Elton Brand play, man 6 years ago or so, he was gonna be legit, now he is just a shell, but kudos to him for playing hard and all, not doing the T-Mac. 6ers look to be in a good spot once Boston's players all die from old age in a couple of years. Yeah, we obviously just don't match up well against the Heat...I would have rather faced Bulls/Celtics, but what are you going to do. They are in good hands with Doug Collins as the head coach.

The great thing about SLOC is, it really doesn't take much time. once recruitment is over, it is just minor tweaking to your game plan, at most, and then it is kind of let it ride and see how your squad does. recruitment makes it all worth while, and even that isn't a big time commitment. everything about the game is ahead of its time...except for the graphics. p.s. go celtics.

As much as I would like to, I just can't see myself having the extra time to join SLOC. I wouldn't want to take away from the time I do have for SLOR and SLOP, and with 2 little ones at home, I don't really have the time to take from anywhere else.
But John, I'd still love to see you back in either of those two leagues if you decide to return. We have a great new commish in SLOR in phdsims, and sativa has always been consistent with SLOP.

We have a great new commish in SLOR in phdsims, and sativa has always been consistent with SLOP. wow, bish, i didn't realize you had kiddos. congrats! i can hear you about not having the extra time. i'll be honest, sometimes downloading the file can get a bit intimidating in that i feel like i need to chalk up a bit of time when i do it. in all honesty, i always liked SLOR and SLOP very much. i never got out of those leagues because of any conflicts with anyone. SLOP always had a fun theme too and it never took itself seriously which always was fun. i just got really tired of FBB. and at the same time i was getting frustrated with FBB, i discovered FBCB, and that was the end of that. trading was never something i loved in the sim leagues, though i loved writing articles and following the sims and posts by everyone. with FBCB, i don't have to bother with the trades, and love the detailed rating system that FBB doesn't have. i'm rambling now, but hopefully we can get some good guys in SLOC. and maybe if you try it bish, you'll see how little time it takes. though, i know we both used to get really involved in the leagues, and three leagues is a lot to deal with, probably too much, i completely understand.

Having homecourt in a best of 5 series against the Spurs, I will take it. Especially considering they have been spotted 30 more FT's than the grizz in the first two games. As expected Manu's vagina healed up so he could return and flop around on the floor for tonights game.
Grizz made so many dumbass plays its a miracle they were within striking distance at the end. So many missed layups and TO's that lead to easy baskets. then Z-bo just zoning out for the entire 2nd half, not sure what was going on there. OJ went 2-10, but yeah, he is a star in the making, get fucking real. Another draft pick wasted, even though they had that one right with Kevin Love, just traded him away.

Yeah, Denver is not missing Melo. I have been screaming that from day 1 with him, he has no Killer Instinct, he will never win a title, at least not in his prime, maybe as a tag along late in his career, but as the highest paid player on a roster, no way. He just doesn't care. I feel bad for Amare, I bet he is wishing they had gotten derron williams in there or maybe just kept their guys. They are gonna be good enough to make the playoffs forever, but not legit threats IMO.

More like best of 7. I felt like Tim got the raw end of the stick last night fouling out. The reason they have 30 more FTs is because they're driving to the lane a lot more than the Grizz, pretty simple actually. Grizz are hacking the mess out of Manu whenever he goes to the lane. When was Manu flopping? I will readily admit he does it, but I didn't see him do it once last night. Not once. And yeah, what a wimp for not playing with a hyperextended elbow. Are you kidding me? Kirk Hinrich had one earlier in the year and it took about a week to heal. Same case with Manu. Spurs are using a lot of energy in this first round, which is unfortunate when you consider a 1 vs. 8 matchup should be relatively easy. But the Grizz are probably the strongest team out of the 5-8 seeds. Just our luck. Game 3 will be interesting.

Best of 5? More like best of 7. He said best of 5 because the first 2 games went 1-1 and canceled each other out. So right now with the next 2 games at Memphis it's the equivalent of a best of 5 series with Grizz having homecourt advantage

I'm pretty sure he went to the lane for all of 13 shots as well, and the way he plays he does get fouled quite a lot. He just falls awkwardly sometimes so it looks like somebody acting when really - that's just him.
