At the end on D, he literally jumped backwards. They showed the replay and you can see him feet and legs propel backwards, TA hardly touches him. I mean, its a good play, b/c he knows he will get that call, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating/a punk move.
I would tend to agree that the Spurs drive the lane more, but Z-Bo shot the ball 14 times last night and didn't get fouled on any of them? I find that EXTREMELY hard to believe, when I am not sure the Ginobli took a shot that didnt go in or was called a foul. There were a couple of EXTREMELY late calls after shots didn't fall, those are always hilarious.
But in the end, the Grizz just didnt hit the shots. We played like dump and were only down 2 with 14 secs left to go, so we were in the game. Doubtful we will have a similarly horrid night shooting up adn down the lineup again. OJ mayo at crunch time jacked 3 or 4 early in the shot clock jumpers that were not even close, I have no idea what was going through his mind.
Also, good job Grizz management for building the team, but DAMN could we have no found a backup PG? I know we had JWill, but he was so injury prone, you know he was bound to miss serious time. Grevis is a nice prospect, but not ready for this stage, and OJ mayo is just not a PG, plain and simple.

"Grizz management" and "good job" should never be in the same sentence, even sarcastically. you might confuse someone into thinking that chris wallace could competently manage a high school freshman basketball team. the man is isiah thomas' equal, as a GM, and is an embarrassment to the NBA. i don't have much bitterness towards him, right? i don't think it shows.

Memphis played a great game, deserved to win IMO, Spurs couldn't buy a three that game.
With that said, did they really applaud when Ginobili was clutching his injured elbow after Tony Allen climbed over his back? I get the dislike for him, but cheering that he's injured? Pretty classless.

Oh yeah, his typical vag tastic flopping will not be tolerated in Memphis and Memphis has never been high on class! Got a break with all the missed wide open threes. We will take it

The best example of the difference between Memphis and the San Antonio Vages is the play by OJ Mayo late in the 4th. He, being a legit man, pump faked Manu, got him in the air, however, not having a vagina, he did not jump into Manu as he flew over him, rather avoided him, stepped back, checked his balls, having huge ones, unlike Manu, who would have jump and flailed all over the place, HEAVED IT, and DROPPED it on them right in front of the Spurs bench.
Now the weak-ass Spurs are trying to even steal our Grit/Grind mantra, using Grit, Grind, Edge???!!! HAHAHAHAHA. TP with 6 TO's, I guess just another off night, nothing to do with Grizz D.

Again - stay classy Grizz fans. Tony is having a bad series. Part of it is the Grizz defense, the other part is him just blowing easy layups and wide-open mid-range jumpers. Yeah, O.J. Mayo is a true man, with a great reputation. Oh wait, no he isn't, his attitude is horrible (reason why he was benched this season) and he was suspended 10 games earlier this season for drug-violation, not to mention his part of receiving improper benefits while he was still in high school. I think Manu's three rings and Olympic gold outweigh what that guy has done - just saying. Are you really seriously criticizing Manu's ability to get a foul on the offensive end? On the defensive end he flops sometimes but it has been exaggerated over the years. J.J. Barea, Anderson Varejeo, and Chris Paul do it on a more consistent basis than Manu, IMO. That's a smart play, draw a defender in the air, then go into him and go to the line for three free throws. It's not flopping, it's just smart basketball and it's absolutely a foul on the guy who goes sky-high first.

The reason OJ was benched had nothing to do with his attitude. Also, if you think he was really doping you are crazy. Look at the guy!!! Improper benefits??? Seriously? Whatever.... 2-1.

You can't tell me they were doing it because they were getting an upgrade in talent, they wanted to do it because they wanted a distracting personality off their hands. The trade just didn't get sent to the league in time.

kind of funny you say to stay classy grizz fans. was just reading on the grizz board. they have a thread with a link to a spurs board where all the posters are cussing, making excuses, and being immature and the people on the grizz board are talking about how the spurs fans have no class

You missed the point. He was being dealt b/c he cant play PG and cant guard NBA 2 guards. He wants to, and could prob start on a shitty team like Indiana, but he is not gonna log heavy minutes for the Grizz anytime soon. Therefore, getting a solid backup big in McRoberts plus a first is a good deal compared to just letting him go for nothing. Not saying I was in favor of it, but it had nothing to do with his attitude. The Grizz are super-geling as a team right now.
Those other things, like I said you missed the point. If you think a college player taking benefits makes him a bad person then you don't know much about college athletics, furthermore, again, the doping thing is hilarious, you have seen OJ Mayo haven't you? I mean, its one thing when Barry Bonds swole-up head ass tries to tell us he never took roids, but come on man....OJ was not taking stuff knowingly, if so, he should get his money back.

Every team's message board has immature fans, but you hope they don't display that lack of class on a national stage like television. Let's just say I've watched a ton of Spurs games, and I can't recall one instance of an opposing player getting hurt and the fans cheering and applauding it openly. That's what the Grizz fans blatantly did last night when Manu came up holding his elbow, and the baseline camera angle captured the entire crowd up on their feet, looking at Manu, cheering at his agony.
