Welp it was a good run. Could easily be up 2-1, but Spurs are so much better coached and mentally tougher than LA and OKC. We can totally dominate them like we did in first last night but they just shrug it off amd say fuck it and shoot 60% the rest of the game. Also, Popovich is absolutely abusing Lionel Holllins in adjustments. The Spurs scored 4 and the end of reg on uncontested layups due to excellent play calls from Pop that caught us with our pants down.
Them Tony Allen pays 30 secs of OT after Pondexter fouls out. Just awful game management, and I won't even get into the play call at the end of regulation.

I was surprised at the last play call for the Grizz when they had a chance win it. It looked like a simple screen and roll action and nothing more. Surprised there was no real additional movement outside of the Gasol/Conley brush screen that really didn't amount to anything. You guys gave me a scare in that first quarter though.

last night was pretty depressing. We looked like world beaters in the first quarter and it was all downhill after that. I'm not too surprised we're losing since I thought we struggled too much against the Thunder. Even though we beat them 4-1 it seemed we were just barely beating them when we should have been having our way with them with westbrook out. Thought Spurs might beat us, but didn't think it'd be 3-0 out the gate. Our offense is just atrocious. Allen, Prince, and a Houdini Z-Bo are killing us. Allen should never shoot the ball. If it's not a layup or put back then he needs to pass. Z-Bo can't stop forcing shots. We're a train wreck.

Zbo looks like last year playoffs, which is weird bc he was so good earlier in the playoffs. If you ask me he hasn't been the same since his injury, just a step too slow, which is badnews for him and any team paying him what he gets.

I've said all playoffs if 2011 ZBo shows up they can beat anyone, ANYONE. He did first two rounds and they won, now he is disappearing something huge.

Plus Conley can do things against the Thunder and even the Clippers because CP3 while an amazing player is not as active as Tony Parker is. I remember reading somewhere how tired Conley has been this whole series because Parker will run around, pass the ball, get it back 2 seconds later and go to the bucket. And Conley goes to the other end of the court already gassed.

The Spurs did the same thing in Game 3 of the 2012 semis against the Clips when they went up by like 24 or something like that in the first half, and they still came back and won.
The Spurs motion offense is just insanely intricate. Compare that offense to the iso offense of the Thunder, there's just so much more movement and action. There are so many primary and secondary picks, backdoor cuts and background movement going on, that's why you hear about "the system" from them all the time because it is really difficult to grasp from what it sounds like, just ask Richard Jefferson.
With that said the Grizzlies are playing their style I think, Z-Bo is just forcing shots and is not hitting spectacular shots like he was in the 2011 series (I think he nailed a 3 in Duncan's face to clinch Game 3 of that series). Gasol needed to come up big in OT and just couldn't get his midrange game going in that session.
In this series I think it's a combination of the Spurs not wanting to relent another 2-0 lead in the WCF (like last year), especially to a team that upset them two years ago in the Grizz. With that said I still thought the Grizz would get a game or two, and they still can, but they have to be at least a little down right now after giving up last night's game.

Congrats to any Spurs fans here on returning to the Finals. Love watching the Spurs more than any team in the league. I'm rooting for the underdog Indiana in the ECF but a Heat - Spurs Finals would be so epic.

Spurs are just good. A testament to their front office and coaching/developmental staff that they have taken guys like Green/Splitter/Leonard and made them good players. In a lot of places those guys just waste away. I wish Darko had ended up in SA at some point, they could have made him a fucking BAWSE.
Def. be rooting for the Spurs to beat the Heat, though I am not quite sure how that happens, but it can be done. Really curious to see how they approach guarding LeBron.
