The Silo finale was awesome.
I really enjoyed Clerks III also, even the ending. Way better than Clerks 2.

Lol I see this thread is still going - 17 years since I started it!
Watched "The Pope's Exorcist" for some dumb reason. I hate that Russell Crowe's career has gotten to the point where he's in these very average or forgettable movies. Dude used to be in all the heavyweight movies in the late 90's/early 00's. First half of the movie isn't bad, then the second half sails off a cliff into insanity.

I am mad b/c me and the boys had planned to see The Last Voyage of the Demeter this week and it randomly left both of the theaters in town. Really wanted to see it on the big screen.
Been enjoying the new season of "Only Murders..." Sure, it has been a bit repetitive since the first season, but I will watch anything Steve and Martin do. Toss in Selena and it's comfort watching for sure.
Excited to see new season of Physical, haven't watched any of the new season yet.

Getting back into "Winning Time".
I still feel like the Jerry West portrayal is completely over the top, and some other elements seem really fabricated or exaggerated, but I can't deny it's overall entertaining. And pretty cool to see some of the early days of the NBA.

Finished live version of One Piece. Fun watch. There's a lot to like about it, but still felt a little off, which was to be expected, since the One Piece world is so crazy it's hard to pull off a live version of it. Curious what people that have no knowledge of the manga or anime think of the show. I haven't gotten around to read the manga, but have watched the anime. If you watch this and even somewhat like it, then I'd suggest watching the anime, preferably the sub, since the dub IMO makes it seem more kiddish. Even though it's animated, the anime has more of an emotional impact. I'm down for them continuing the show though, and would be really curious to see how they do Chopper, Franky, and Brook, and wouldn't mind seeing some Nico Robin eye candy.

No Hard Feelings was a fun time, should watch it if you are craving a rated R sex comedy. Nothing crazy special but some really well written humor and more of a story than I truly expected. Jennifer Lawrence gotta do more comedies cuz shes fucking hilarious.

There are a handleful of classic movies I haven't seen that always come up in people's favorite movies and I, the movie guy, have to sheepishly and embarrassingly have to go "Oh man, thats been on my list to watch forever but for whatever reason I haven't seen it". One of them is Michael Mann's crime thriller, Heat. Its been on Netflix for a bit and decided today to start it up. Holy shit what a movie. There is some top-level filmmaking on offer. The dialogue is fantastic, has a great use of music to deliver emotions without words, and has some of the best sound design in a movie. That shootout, man. Anyway, terrific movie. Needed to share.

Elemental(2023) Man I really thought I was going to hate this movie. Trailers looked like a simple meet cute with corny jokes about fire and water not mixing and shit. The marketing and trailers hardcore lied about what this movie is about. This is at its heart an immigrant movie and the effects it places on the children of immigrants. I really enjoyed the angle this movie went with and don't understand why they went with the marketing they did. Its funny, mature for an animated movie, and had a really nice story that I enjoyed.
8.5/10

You know I love home invasion movies. I love creature features. I also love alien invasion movies. Put them all together and what do you get? Apparently No One Will Save You(2023) is the answer. Movie just came out today, its a Foxx Searchlight picture that Disney decided to dump on Hulu. Anyone, again its basically an alien invasion movie that we see through the lens of a woman and the Aliens break into her house. It really turns into a creature feature with a few alien designs that I thoroughly enjoyed. Its a slower paced movie with very little spoken dialogue and carried in some scenes almost entirely by sound. Main actress does a great job, never seen her before. Score is great, atmosphere is great, and realistically there is 1 scene with humans in besides her in this movie so if her performance is shit it would have ruined the whole thing. Undecided on the ending. Very unique movie, would love to have someone here watch it and tell me what you think because its a really unique movie that I think will end up with some pretty mixed opinions, especially because of the ending. For me though, its a solid 7.5/10.
