as for prayer in schools
first off relgious schools have every right to sya prayers in schools as it is a religious school.......
next prayers in public schools should not be allowed as it may may some feel inferior or left out during it......also it may force somebody's beliefs on someone else
all in all only religious schools should allow prayer in schools

Simple solution - say the PoA, and when it gets to "Under God", stop and resume once it's past. actually not bad....... heres a radical idea......what if the under god part was taken out completely? i pledge allegiance to the flag of the united states of america to the republic for which is stands one nation indivisiblewith liberty and justice for all

heres a radical idea......what if the under god part was taken out completely? it's not that radical. "under god" was intentionally put into the pledge sometime in the 1950's under the nationwide scare of communism. the "under god" was not originally part of the original pledge of allegiance.

some interesting information
1892 to 1923: "I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands: one Nation indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all." 1923 to 1954: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all." 1954 to Present: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all."

Definately No on the prayer issue. Pledge of Allegiance if it's mandatory fine but I really don't think it's that big of an issue.

declaration of independence down? people came to America to be able to worship and follow God in their own way. This country was built on religion that's just part of it, and religion certainly wasn't the whole reason the british came to the new world. freedom of worship yes, but just as importantly, freedom of assembly, fair taxation and a more fair system for all, rather than a monarchy, were equally high on the list as religion.
