WEST: 1. Spurs 2. Sonics 3. Suns 4. Warriors 5. Rockets 6. Nuggets 7. Grizzlies 8. Mavs
East: 1. Heat 2. Pacers 3. Pistons 4. Bulls 5. Wizards 6. Magic 7. Cavs 8. Bucks
Wow, the east is so terrible, The T-wolves i think would probably make the 4 spot in the east, but could miss the playoffs in the west.

You got the Sonics and Warriors way too high in the West. I highly doubt the Warriors make the playoffs, as Baron Davis and Jason Richardson are both a couple of losers. In the East you left out New Jersey and Philadelphia. Overall pretty bad in my opinion.

In the East you left out New Jersey and Philadelphia. Overall pretty bad in my opinion. I think you are totally wrong about the Warriors. With Baron, JRich, and Pietrus running the backcourt spots, and Murphy showing that when he is healthy, he can be effective, I think they can be a very competitive team. They have what a lot of teams waiting to get to the next level have....a problem of not having that center. In the last two months last year they went 10-6, and 8-3. In those two months they averaged over 102 ppg, which shows they can score the ball, with teams like Detroit, San Antonio, Memphis, and Houston in there. All in all, I am not 100% sure they will make the playoffs, being they are in the West, but I wouldn't be shocked if I saw it.

I usually suck at making these kinds of lists, but until you can make one better, I'd hold off whining. Still, I agree with Jason - the Warriors look like an exciting team. Both lists are good, I think.
Though I will say, Sonics, that you should watch out for the 76ers. Without Jim O'Brien, and leaving Dalembert alone to develop, they could surprise people.
Sonics, I'm surprised you think the Timberwolves could make the playoffs in the East? Maybe I haven't kept up to date with their transactions, but are they looking like a lotto team this year or not?
Jeez...this is what happens when you get bored of fantasy basketball and look for other challenges...like sim leagues. You get out of touch with the real NBA...

Warriors wont make the playoffs. Every year there's a fanboy team that's hyped to the moon and disappoints big time. Last year it was the Lakers and Cavs. The previous several years was the Clippers. This year it's the Warriors. 1. Injury prone. Here are some game totals from the past few years for some of Golden States better players. Baron Davis: 46, 67, 50 Mikael Pietrus: 67, 53 Troy Murphy: 70, 28 Adonal Foyle: 44, 58, 44, 55 The West will be so competitive, any games without your key players will be costly. I can't see the Warriors staying healthy throughout. 2. There's no question the Warriors will be able to score, but defense is another story. Baron Davis, Jason Richardson, Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy - don't exactly scream defense do they? You win with defense, you impress fanboys with offense. 3. Questionable coaching. Mike Montgomery looks like another college coach lost in the NBA game. Warriors should've never fired Eric Musselman, who won Coach of the Year his rookie season. Huge mistake by a questionable GM. 4. They're really not that good. Richardson and Davis are both stars, but asides from that there's just not a huge ammount of proven talent. Sure Pietrus and Dunleavy have their moments, and Diogu could be a player, but there's a big difference between could and will.
I see the Warriors finishing with around 38 wins, and finishing around 10th in the West.

in the east i think most would say the pacers, pistons, heat are locks to make the playoffs without several major injuries/suspensions. after that its pretty open. it comes down to who can play together after making changes in the offseason.
the number three seed from last year the celtics could be in the bottom half if not miss the playoffs. they still have PP and Davis who can dominate games but are counting on alot of young guys to play key roles, ex. Green, Jefferson, Banks, Allen, Perkins, West. I still think they have enough to make the playoffs but not the top 4 this year.
wizards, great season last year as they win a playoff series but were not able to hold onto larry hughes and k. brown in the offseason. yes they added some pieces but they just dont seem to fit right now to me. Who will play along side Arenas in the backcourt like Larry did? Atkins? Butler? Daniels? Hayes? Those guys just dont seem to be a good fit. This team had some great success last year but i just dont see it happening again.
home court to miss the playoffs for the bulls? it will be a long season with curry not being happy about being a bull and his sights set on cashing in with another team next offseason. gordon could start chirping about coming off the bench. the baby bulls are a year older but not any better, most likly worse than last year. i just dont see this team being as good as it was last year.
philly. i know we have alot of 76er fans around here and they think they will just be unstopable this year, but the big question is will cweb and AI play together better than they did last year? can they get a coach that can keep everyone happy? who did they add in the offseason, hunter? also the loss of willie green could hurt as he was a spark at times. alot of questions to be answered by this team this year but anytime you have AI he gives you a chance to win everygame. I think this team will make the playoffs coming off the 7th seed and even improving that but not by much.
who needs a front court when you have Kidd, Carter, Jefferson, and J-Mc. If the nets were in the west and had to play them 4 times a year they might not be able to survive with no front court but beig in the east they will be a very successful team if the big 3 can stay away from long injury. i like this team to not only make the playoffs but to make a run at home court.
he has help now. Lebron finds some teamates in the offseason and kept his big man. James, Snow, and Hughes might not be as good a big three as the nets have but they have some help down on the blocks in big Z, who i like alot, and d. marshall. if this team didnt have drew gooden i might enjoy watching them this year and almost root for them in the east but i just cant with him on the team. none the less i think james will make the playoffs this year and could give pacers, pistons, or heat the toughest matchup.
the others...steve loses mobley! the magic teammates were spilt up this year after working well together for several years now. dont sleep on the magic this year they just picked up bo outlaw whos team makes the playoffs every year. the hawks are still a year or two away but have started to build things in the right direction. bucks were able to keep redd and got the #1 pick but i just dont think they have enough in the improved east. new york could be somewhat of a sleeper team as they have brown and lots of talent. i can see them battling down to the wire for that 8th spot and even making it. just alot of unknowns about how things will turn out there. raptors abd bobcats just dont have much hope this year, as they are just out matched every night.
overall 1. Pistons 2. heat 3. nets (remember top 3 come from divsion winners) 4. Pacers 5. cavs 6. 76ers 7. celtics 8. Knicks

I doubt New Jersey gets 3rd seed and the Nets 6th seed but that's just me.
