This is my personal opinion. Go ahead and bash all you want. Kobe is still one of the better players in the game. Odom has now shown his full potential last year because of the coach switches. Phil got Pippen to join the staff and help out Odom. I think we will see Odom being the Point-Forward this year (meaning he will run the point) since obviously lakers lack a PG. Kwame Brown I think will win the most improved award. This kid got potential but his attitude before stopped his growth as a player. So far in camp he has shown to be in love for playing for Phil Jackson. Lakers weak spots are the Center and the PG position. Mickie and Mihm aren't anythign special but Mihm is improving and a decent shotblocker. If he learns to rebound thats the only thing Lakers will need from him. Mckie was brought in as a defensive specialist and again hopefully will shut down the opposing guards. I see lakers having 3 20ppg scorers in Kobe-Odom-Kwame. Lakers WON'T win the Championship but I think they will make the playoffs around 5th or 6th spot and surprise people by doing that since some are prediciting them not to even make the playoffs. When they do make the playoffs everyone knows thats when Phil really starts teaching and Lakers might pull a surprise or two. MIGHT

I can tell you right now that Kwame ain't getting 20 ppg. I will even go ahead and say he isn't gonna get the Most Improved Player.

We did make 2 huge moves.
1) Hired Phil Jackson- go ahead bash that he always had superstars but MJ wasnt a superstar before Phil came and Kobe wasn't a star before Phil came eitehr.
2) Traded Butler for Brown. Butler was decent but we had no room for him. Now lakers finally got a PF that will be good for the future.

odom won't avg no 20, and he has too many TO's to be the point forward. Phil will not run the ball through him, more likely kobe.

Odom will be lucky to get over 15ppg
Kwame will be lucky to get over 10
Lakers will be lucky to not finish last

WEST: 1. Spurs 2. Sonics 3. Rockets 4. Nuggets 5. Mavs 6. Kings 7. Grizzlies 8. T-Wolves
no PHX cause of amare
East: 1. Heat 2. Pacers 3. Nets 4. Pistons 5.Cavs 6. Wizard 7. Sixers 8. Knicks
sixers/knicks could swap and pacers/pistons could swap

WEST: 1. Spurs 2. Sonics 3. Rockets 4. Nuggets 5. Mavs 6. Kings 7. Grizzlies 8. T-Wolves no PHX cause of amare Didn't the Suns win over 60 games last season? And isn't Stoudemire missing just four months and not the full season? I would find it nearly impossible that the Suns won't at least make the playoffs at the very least this season.
