Yeah, some of the stuff in this thread is just downright silly. I mean, I'm all for people's right to follow whatever belief system they so choose. And if people have convinced themselves that the particular set of dogmatic beliefs that they ascribe to are enriching their lives, then so be it, but come on, you are too smart (I hope) to be taking the Bible so literally.
Most religions (particularly the prominent Western ones) are just based on earlier spiritual traditions which are based on earlier spiritual traditions...and so on. Nearly all of the most important Biblical stories are just regional interpretations of earlier stories that put human faces and situations into the story of the sun and it's journey through the TWELVE signs of the zodiac. That's all.
But please, don't let me stop you from your pointless arguing and fighting and division over fairly tales.

Why would anyone want that to happen? You embrace the death and destruction of this world? No, I believe that God will come to save the world not destroy it. We will destroy it, he'll save us from destroying ourselves. Look how awful we are right now, we kill innocent babies like it's nothing. Marriage is not between a man and a woman anymore. We seem to constantly fight in wars. This generation is highly immoral. And it's only getting worse... Feel free to believe what you want. That's what is so great about America, everyone is free to do as they please. But saying that Christians embrace death and destructions is a silly statement. I don't want any of this to happen, but it's inevitable and it's our faults.

I don't want any of this to happen, but it's inevitable and it's our faults. Not what I'm saying at all. I was just responding to a post. But if you see some of the post in this thread, it is kinda scary. I come from a very devout Christian background, so I know how it can better people lives. And it is people of faith that do great things like help people in emprovished nations, and bring hope to the hopeless, etc. I know first hand how it can better people lives, so I am all for it. But some of the postings here are not of the faith that I experienced, even though still the same vaules and ideas. The Christians that I know think Obama is a godsend. And peace should always be preferred over war. And like you said in the beginning of your statement, God will come to save the world not destroy it. He'll save us from destroying ourselves. My mother prayed for Obama every night to have strength to win this election.

Sav for your question, I embrace the time when the world is being destroyed because that means that I'm that close to getting to go to Heaven and meet my Creator, meet my Savior and to a place that there is no more sickness, sorrow, or suffering. The Heaven depicted in the Bible is a terrific place that everyone should embrace

I'm worried, not for myself, but for my loved ones that don't have that aspect of eternal life. I'm a very selfless person, I'd love to go to heaven, TODAY, but I want to live and minister on earth so more people get to go to heaven.
Paul once said something in the lines of I'd rather God never work in my life, yet do amazing things in yours, then God work in my life and do nothing for you, and thats kind of how i see things, i want God to be seen by everyone on this Earth so they have no excuse. Though and i know my Bible, but i can't remember exact verses, lol, but Paul says that no one has any excuse to not know God because God reveals himself in the awsome marvels of the World that he created.

You scare me. I don't know you but you seem the kind of guy that someday we'll hear about as someone involved in a massive suicide organized by some freaking cult as a way to go meet the creator.
Personally I think nothing should be taken that serious let alone any kind of religion but that's just me. I'm just a lost soul who didn't embrace religion as way to get comfort, a sense of purpose or any explanation for whatever I could't find one. It's just a shame that I'm not lost enough to use people like you to make serious profit as we know religions are the most profitable business in the whole world. But that's not all they are also great to strike fear and control masses so as you can see I think it's great you want to dedicate your life to such a powerfull weapon. Hope your creator answers when you decide to ring.

You are terrible, you, OT, and anyone on here criticizing what ive said are just terrible, I'm here, on my freaking birthday i might add, talking how im not worried about myself, but for other lost souls.... I said a verse that i ant God to work in others lives, if it means not working in mine... I gave on my birthday and hardly got anything.... I'm not unhappy cuz of that, im joyful that through that i got to spread the message of Jesus... I don't get some people saying that I'd be part of some suicidle organization or some junk like that, but i guess whatever thast your opinion....
but guess what, i never said OBAMA IS LEADING US INTO THE ANTICHRIST, i said i believe he is and in 3 or 4 of my posts i said i may be wrong, and i HOPE i am, for the sake of unbelievers....
now im not bragging at all, but from what ive read I am very selfless, but again my opinion, so y'all can go and believe what you want cuz i don't get why i get into these conversations cuz y'all back them up with terrible arguments that have no validity.
Heres some validity for ya: 2000 fulfilled proficies! 333 on Jesus Christ alone, 1500 depicting what our world would look like today, did you know that events like 9/11 and Katrina are in the Bible? Did you know that the Bible depicts that exact events that would lead to the fall of the Greek AND Roman empires, 200 years before they happen? Did you know that there are 40+ authors on 3 different continents, in 4 different ages, spread apart by almost 2000 years, in 3 languages that say ONE thing? Did you know that the Old Testament has withstood over 4000 years of criticism from folks like y'all? Did you know that the ENTIRE BIBLE has withstood over 2000 years of critics that say its all brainwashing, bogus piece of crap beliefs that have no proof at all what so ever... well check what i just wrote, and if you want look it up.
Now give me facts like that, then mabee I'll question what i believe in, but i truly doubt it cuz there is a whole chapter in Hebrews about Faith, basically saying that no matter what, faith gets you to Heaven.

Those aren't facts. Fact means there is a way to prove it, you can't or anything you say prove anything; because you don't know until you die. All your telling me is elaborate stories.
Here is a fact: According to your religion we all came from Adam and Eve; therefore we would basically be all incest babies. Which would explain the way you talk, because usually offspring of incest into generations makes you more retarded. So, by the way you are talking you sound pretty retarded. So, you must be right, 'Judgement Day' is coming and I am starting to believe the religion based upon your idiocracy.

I just want to make a point. Two atheist can get married in this country. My point is that I do know that by nature, a man and a woman are to be together. But who are we to prevent anybody from getting married when that can happen. Those are godless people getting married. Is that sacred?

If whatever you say is all facts, then wouldn't I believe you because you can't disagree with facts? But those aren't facts, so I don't believe it.
