Playoff Rondo is amazing yall. This version of playoff rondo. The version the mavs had was terrible. The climax came that year against the rockets when he took 10 seconds to casually walk the ball up and got a half court violation. I think Carlisle yanked him and he never played for mavs again that series.

But sweet Caroline! Loving the celtics melt down.
I hope they draft the next Greg Oden or jay Williams with the nets pick.

Look what he's doing now and with Doc, he orchestrated the entire offense. Dude is smart and should be a coach when he retires. But that's where him and Rick probably collided. Carlisle is supposed to be strict and that doesn't fly with Rajon when he thinks he's smarter than you (and probably is).

Sad to see Grizz 'dynasty' come to an end like this, but playoffs for 7 straight seasons for a small market team is nothing to scoff at. Still, some critical mistakes probably REALLY cost us a shot at real contention. Oh well, going to be an interesting off-season. I still think Mike and Marc are two great players to build around, but not sure what we have left to get it done.

Dude was winning that game by himself before he came out for a fucking drink of water and his teammates lost the lead in a matter of minutes. You can't blame Russ for last night. Nothing more you could have asked from him. Houston has too many shooters and too many weapons for OKC to keep up without Russ in the game that's not on Russ.

Um, thunder were winning because their bigs were killing Houston on the offensive glass. Take away those 2nd chance point and thunder aren't winning.
Rockets are cool with anyone, Russ or Kobe or Lebron or curry or whoever, taking elbow jumpers all night. That's the power of expected points per shot plus high pace, high shot volume. The rockets want to take more shots that have higher expected points per shot than their opponent.
You do know that Westbrook was negative in plus minus in the 4th?
It was obvious for me watching the rockets all season. They needed to keep letting Russ shoot, try like hell for the rebound, then come down and pass it around until someone has an open 3 and take tons of 3's. They did that in the 4th and won.
There were multiple times Russ could have found McDermott for open 3's in the 4th. He choose not to.
Harden's guys couldn't make a 3 for first 3 quarters. Ryan Anderson has one NBA skill and he's 0-10 from deep this series. But Houston plays team basketball and trusts the role players. Okc does not.
Russ for MVP.
