Wouldn't Marion's increased rebounding note more the style of play used (coaching) rather than because of a particular player?

however, that makes your arguments a lot less coherent. just trying to remember how marion did two years ago without nash? maybe that's a very easy reason to think of to see why he's being called a product of nash. This was covered in an earlier post there big guy. Players don't get better? Did you look at his stats before Nash? He still scored, still played defense, and still was a very good player. He's improved on his rebounding and FG %. Only because of Nash though. he hasn't gotten overwhelmingly better, chief. nash is a terrific distributor. that will help anyone's game, however.

I didn't say he was overwhelming better, chief. I did however say he was better then he was, and he is.
Nash is a great distributer, but that doesn't REALLY help the things he has improved in. It may have helped his % a lot, but he makes some crazy shit on his own.

Nash makes the team go..and better. Amare (healthy) makes the team contenders. And Marion is the glue..period. Product of the system/Nash my ass, Marion does so many things 95% of players couldn't dream of doing (or in Nash's case couldn't dream of helping him do).

When did 82games.com claim you as a victim? Watch the games..don't use that crock of bullshit site. -Dre I find the stats interesting. I don't get to watch a ton of Suns games, just some on TNT/ESPN, but 82games provides some interesting stats. Why is it a "crock of shit" anyways? Another interesting stat (this is really just to piss Dre off) www.82games.com/0506/0506PHO.HTMOnly player when off the court Phoenix gets outscored is Boris Diaw

It's a crock of shit because every time I see people who are mezmerized by that site...they use it to base their opinions on ball. You can find the stats interesting, but we don't need to hear about it. If we do, it just means you're using it to argue a point..and by using it as an argument, your point means nothing. Watch the games, then make a distinction...I've seen too many people look like idiots when that site sucks people into its virtual reality and people think they know everything about the players in the NBA because they're dependent on that site.
You can look, but any argument (not on hard facts, i.e. who leads the league in SPG) you make using it is irrelevant.

Should I use baseless generalizations then?
People use facts to back up a point they're making. Are stats not factual?
Is John Salmons really deserving of a -4.8 Roland Rating? No, he's more deserving of a -2000 one but I hardly think the site is a crock of shit. Sure it's not the and all and be all, and doesn't tell the whole story, but it provides a lot of interesting and potentially useful information about players that's not just opinion based

You can use stats to back up a point when using stats makes sense. Just don't sit here like "so and so is a better defender than so and so," and show me a link on that site to prove it. Or in here, who's the MVP...unless you're just listing their numbers (PPG, RPG, APG, SPG, BPG, W's, L's), then stats don't belong here either.
Telling me that Shawn Marion is a product of Steve Nash or the system because he leads the league in finished alley-oops is something I'd slap you for if we were face to face.

Where did I say that?
I think it's fair to say his PPG and shooting pct have risen because Nash sets him up a fair bit, but I still think that he's a tremendous player, as I've stated previously in this thread.
Please read what I say before you make accusations, tough guy.

Where did you make this inference, and where did I imply that Marion is a result of Steve Nash or the Suns' system? I've been one of the people defending Marion's abilities here.

I'm with Jared. Wade get's my vote. If I had to choose one right now it would have to be Mr. Bryant. There's a progress there. You are almost there.
