ya, just thought id share what I wrote, and I will talk about Jesus anywhere I go, because if you don't personally know Jesus Christ, then your gonna go to hell. I really don't want anyone to have to experience that. I really don't care what people say about it, but I will continue to talk, nothing will make me stop. How do you know there is a Hell? Where is the factual proof?

I really don't care what people say about it, but I will continue to talk, nothing will make me stop. There is preserverance and there is self-absorption. Taking time to listen to what others say usually is where the line is drawn.

Listening to others? Dude... My Bible tells me to continue through ridicules, because He came to this earth, and was perfect. He was crucified, if you would read what I posted, then you might learn something about me.
OT ever read 23 minutes in Hell? Not supporting it... just saying.
I believe in the Bible, the Bible says there is a hell, therefore i believe in Hell...

I totally agree with you. I think you can get some good values from certain religions, but I think its out of context when you take it too literal. Pisses me off why we still have wars today, and its mostly because of ignorance. Everybody thinks they are better than another person and that their views are right, instead of letting people have the freedom to their own free will. We are too far a long with society that there is no reason we shouldn't be able to communicate with others no matter their views and live in peace. Too many people make decisions that affect other people based on money, power, and religion. One thing that makes me the most pissed off is how the US supports the war in Isreal, why the hell can't we just get a long and live together. That war is the most ridiculous of them all, well besides the damn Iraq one that our ignorant former president put us in. And yes, the US probably gives more than 10 million dollars a day to support Isreal for what? Our country is in dire need, and we are to busy worrying about other people. I don't believe I'm better than anyone. For all have fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 I'm pretty sure that says ALL. I know I am a sinner. Wars I do not support the killing of others. I do however think we need to protect Israel because it says in the Bible that those who support Israel will be blessed, those who curse Israel will be cursed. Name a war that is about present day CHRISTIANS, don't say the war in Israel, thats Muslims and Jews. Don't say Iraq, Iran, because those were started because of 9/11 and we thought they had weapons of mass destruction.

The funny thing more people on this website are interested in Rog's religious postings than your moronic drivel and you are just too dense to realize it. I'd say most people on this website are here for "sim league" purposes and don't really care about this discussion and therefor their usual silence on these topics. Some people here, after some racional thinking, seem to believe in something based on their faith alone dispite the many discoveries through the evolution of man kind that proof othewise (I'm not gonna get into those though because it's 101% of the times a pointless discussion). Those I like to call the Shepards. Others it's no so much about their belief in the answers they found to their questions but more something that is built in their society that they never got to question. Those I like to call the Sheeps. Their racional is, my father believes, my neighbourhood believes, my country believes therefor I believe. Personally I don't see myself fitting in any of those 2 categories (possibly for my eternal disgrace) but I believe in freedom to let others do with their life what they wish and believe in what they want to believe without passing judgment. Personally I don't really think there is this or that God, that Jesus was probably just a "special" guy with great leadership quailities and that the Bibble probably made sense at its time. It has some great tales where one can understand what it's trying to achieve and others a bit less but it's hard to judge as I don't think any book written today will make complete sense in 4009. Religion as a whole is and has been a great walking stick for individuals and for societies in general. It has a good set of "rules" that have been helping things function although all things considered it might have done more harm than good considering for example the enumerous number of wars that have started or fed of it. It might have saved quite a few lifes too so harm vs good is a very debatable subjects like most about it. I also didn't set as a goal to change anyones mind especially because unlike some Shepards and Sheeps I'm not 100% certain that what I believe in is the right thing or the right away to live. I'd say more around here fit in this category, maybe why some people aren't really posting against Rog's sermons of lately. One Time feels strongly about it and therefor his moronic drivel like you put it. While I don't really care and won't be sweating about it, I have at least to question his need to preech in a simleague forum. There are probably more places where more people would be more interested but I guess it's cool. No topic is too off topic to be in the off topic section. PS: I swear I was just gonna write that most people don't care but it started growing lol Most people don't care because they have better things to do than antagonize people for their religious beliefs. Telling someone to get a real hobby and calling it propaganda and bullshit isn't the opening statements of someone looking for an intellectual debate. Its just someone being an asshole. Also I'm quite aware of the numerous scientific discoveries and they don't disprove anything other than a literal interpretation of the Bible which has been known since scientists discovered the Earth rotates around the Sun and not the other way around. One Time's faith that somebody will someday scientifically explain how matter just suddenly came into existence without a supernatural influence is no better rationally than Rog's faith that evangelicalizing his beliefs on a message board is God's work.

You don't support war, but you saying that we should support Isreal because it says so in a bible that was written thousands of years ago through translations that most don't even speak anymore. So, you are promoting war. Isreal is pillaging and killing innocent people because they think they belong on that supposed sacred land and think they were there first. Sounds kind of like a paradox to me.

The United States government support of Israel has nothing to do with whats written in the Bible. Perhaps you should read some world history beginning with World War II.

Shit I could make up a fiction book and call it something to sell and make some profit off of it. Look at the guy who is the founder of scientology, pretty sure he was a fiction writer that didn't do very well, so he made up that bullshit religion. I'm sorry I can't fathom to believe of something that was written so long ago that nobody can prove. Shit, not too long ago people thought the world was flat and you would die by going over the edge, just because they didn't know any better. People have become more intelligent, except for the people that live with this notion of a story that somebody wrote is where we came from, and that we should believe in that or else your going to be placed in Heaven or Hell by what you do on earth. I guess either one of us will be right or wrong when it comes time that we both die eventually. But nobody can prove that. I would rather spend my life doing something else, then whether or not I will end up in Heaven or Hell supposedly if that is right or just have my body donated towards helping other people survive.

The insane and unreasonable ideas which abound in Christianity and Judaism are effectively neutralized and eliminated by the reason-friendly openness which permeates Deism. Fine. Christanity tellls you to suspend you God-given reason. To believe a cosmic Jewish zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your lord and master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree. It seems rather obvious to me that if God had intended to give His “word” to man He would have made it clear and unambiguous and would have made it equally available to all mankind rather than to a select few with reliance on them to disperse it to the remaining majority, especially when the myriad of groups dispersing it cannot agree on what it says. It seems to me that this idea of evangelism or ‘spreading the word’ is in contradiction of the belief itself. It implies that the salvation of the lost is the responsibility of the saved to ‘let them know’. It seems to remove the responsibility of knowing God’s will from God and places it upon His chosen. It suggests that many people are lost because the ‘saved’ can’t or don’t for whatever reasons make all the rounds. Where is love or fairness in this proposition? Ok...For instance, how could the God of Justice in the OT order the slaughtering of non-believers that perhaps never heard the Word and in the NT, He turned the other cheek? The God of the OT seemed to be the God of Wrath compared to the NT which he was the God of love. A Creator incapable of such misery producing acts as the extermination of men, women, children and even of unborn babies by drowning. Deism happily rejects the Passover horror story which depicts God killing the first-born of all the Egyptians, and even the first born of their animals, because Pharaoh did not do what the Bible god allegedly (according to Exodus 11:10) made impossible for him to do (releasing the Jews). So why would the Lord harden Pharoh heart in the first place? Most Christians believe that God is omniscient which would imply that God knows in advance those headed for hell. If God knew at the outset of creation that the majority of the sentient humans with all their emotions, feelings and ability to suffer pain and discomfort were going to suffer horribly forever He certainly does not meet my concept of love. The belief would have us accept that God creates a human and places him on earth under the influence of an agent more powerful and cunning then the human and lets the Devil have his way with him. Even if God did not know in advance that most of mankind would fail to meet His requirement He can see every day how Satan is absolutely beating the pants off Him in winning the millions of souls that God is creating each hour. By the way of simple reasoning, that the Bible or Christianity is not at all what God is about and neither can possibly be true. God really is love and is much greater and more glorious than those sources portray. My point is that I believe that although everyone is very sincere they are not thinking deeper than the surface of their indoctrinated views. Some might ask, “well then, what’s your idea as to how to know the truth?” To me the answer is obvious, we learn truth about God the same way we learn anything else, by intense observation, study and objective thinking, along with using our God given reasoning, deduction and logic. The way we should not make such determination is by simply following our childhood teachings or the crowd without the application of much deeper contemplation, questioning and reasoning. Unfortunately, almost everyone on the planet does precisely the latter. Either their upbringing or some other event or experiences trigger some initial attention and they let that superficial conviction gain momentum and have complete dominance of their thinking from then on. As a consequence we have a multiplicity of beliefs and religions each convinced that they are God’s chosen and are responsible for defending God’s position with a resulting world of conflict and confusion.

The United States government support of Israel has nothing to do with whats written in the Bible. Perhaps you should read some world history beginning with World War II. Perhaps you should realize that there is suppose to be a separation between church in state how the founded fathers intended it to be, except the fact of the matter is there is no separation between church and state. We go to war because most people in the government say they are christians, shit our former president said all of a sudden he was a born again christian then kept killing innocent people in Iraq calling them Insurgents, when in all likely hood they were regular people wondering why the US is passing on Democracy on their country and patrolling them with military. God must have told him there was Weapons of mass destruction in their too. Why is all our money covered with "In god we trust," Why does the pledge of the allegiance say "under god" in it. Why do we support Isreal and not Palastine? Why don't we waste all that money to stop the war and keep peace instead of giving it to one side so they can slaughter more human beings?

For money (natural resources) , power or influence. Thats the answer to every single one of those questions. It has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with people looking out for their individual or country's best interest.

What money or natural resources do we really gain from Isreal? We get into more debt. If that was the case we should bomb the shit out of Saudi Arabia.
Still doesn't change the fact they use the word god on our money, so there must be some correlation between them believing or using religion or god as to get money or for the benefit of their own wealth. Kind of funny that Jesus was suppose to be poor and but say in God we trust on money, lol.

Have you ever heard the phrase the enemy of my enemy is my friend? In God We Trust is on our money because people get religious during war times (it began in the Civil War) and fighting to get it taken off would be political suicide. Its harmless and ultimately has no impact on anything.

Dominates is right IMO. Israel is a democracy and is a country that supports US and vice versa because of America help setting up that country after WWII. And with the contreversial way the Israel obtained that land is why the other countries hate them. Israel is in the middle of countries that hate them all over. Of course they are going to befriend the US, because of the history of the relationship, and how Israel needs to be a military power in the region, or they would be done with. They're a strategic ally, and any country that will support democracy, US will back.
